Isabella, just having send back the spectre to it's final death, smiles proudly. She winks at her sister, and with glances they raise their internal counter of slain enemies. Her sense of undead has stopped and so she steps forward and enters the room, thinking of herself that the Greatovens are holding up their name and themselves, as they always have, and always will. She steps through the arch of the door and suddenly feels a cold embrace, frost clutching her heart, while she loose the control over her face, her voice, she feels the muscles pulling the smile from her face as she sees the spectres grin. The soft smell of hay, baked dough and strawberries tickle her nose and she sees Gabbi rushing into the kitchen of the monastery. As always the quicker one of the two she is heading straight for the fresh pastries. "Wait, Gabbi!!" Issi calls trying to keep up with her little sister but she is already onto the pie and dips her finger and quickly shovels a piece into her mouth before spitting it out and starting to cry in pain. "It burns, hot hot hot, Issi, it's soo hot, ouch ouch." waving her little hands around and then curling on the floor. Issi jumps up to grab a jug of water and poors some onto Gabbi's hand before pooring it into two smaller cups, one of which halfway filled with flour that she just pours onto the floor. "Here!" and she dips her sisters finger's into the one while holding out the otherone for her to drink. "It's going to be alright, you can stop crying now, little one." Hayberry smell rings in Issi's nostrils while she is watching over her book. She gets up and walks down to the monasteries kitchen when Gabbi already runs over to her, radiantly smiling, holding a pie that is still steaming in her cloth wrapped hands. "Issi! I made my first pie! Try it! try it no-ah..." and in excitement Gabbi trips, sending the pie flying straight onto Issi's chest, who bites her tongue, raises her cloth away from her skin and taking a deep breath, while Gabbi turns completely pale. "Are, are you alright?" while her eyes scream "I'm sorry Issi!!" Gabbi knocks on her chest and a metallic plonk is audible, then she wipes of some of the pie with her fingers and licks them. "Good thing that I have armor practice today. Well, you still have to work on the presentation, but by Epona's name, that is delicious." Gabbi starts smiling and both start cracking like a fireplace. The service just ended and Isabella is finishing her prayer. "Please take care of my little sister while she is out there." Gabbi's first outside assignment. She cannot explain it but she cannot focus on her books today? What if the little one gets hurt? What if something happens and she is not there to protect her? Issi goes through the pages, flicking them open and close, turning them left and right, but there is just one thought on it. The sun sets and she lays down on her bedroll, dozing off. She wakes up hearing a knocking and the door opening. Disoriented she looks around but then immediately smiles. "Yeah, it's me." And without words she knows what the little one wants to say: I am not that little anymore. I can take care of myself, but I know you worry. I don't want you to loose more sleep, so I came to show you that I am fine. This time it is Issi that is crying, smiling, and crying again. And Gabbi knows exactly what she wants to say. And then Issi sees the flames, the woods, them running, the sea, her staying behind while Gabbi is on the ships. Feeling that it is the little one that is taking care of her more than she is. The long trip to Maladon, the potato festival and the moving out of the city and having a new home, for the first time since they left the monastery, something they dared to call home. Gabbi stands infront of her, holding something behind her back, the fingers of her otherhand covered in colours. "Thank you for the doll sis! I also have something for you!" and she pulls forward a small piece of paper. A sun, an oven, the brown earth covered by a green plain of grass and two small stick like figures. Underneath in scrawly halfling writing: "Me and Issi" "This is us when we are older! I will make lots of pies and you will have to try them all! And perhaps we can even have a bakery! You know, like mum and dad used to have before we had to go to the monastery." Issi is crying at that point, holding the paper in her left hand, wrapping the othreone around her sister. "Why are you crying sis? Did I do something wrong?" "No, little one" and she sobs "No you didn't Gabbi. You didn't" Her soul raises above her body and she looks down and sees the little one dodging Von who tries to hold her back, tucking below his arms running straight into the room. Kneeling down besides her. "It's alright now Issi, you can stop playing dead now. It's not funny." Cain, the big paladin looks down. She is lost, we have to do the rites for her body. She sees the tears dropping down from Gabbi's chin. But she cannot hear her words anymore, she just sees Gabbi shaking, first her body, then her own body starts to shake. Cain does his rites and they carry out the body and Gabbi starts searching Issi's pockets. "Don't Gabbi... don't open it..." But she cannot hear her. And another swell of tears burst out. "I am so sorry little one. I promised you, I know. I don't know where I am going, but I know what I will do there: Everything I can to protect you." And she pets her sisters hair, who startles for a second and then manages to pull herself together. "That's it, little one. That's it." Gabbi stares intensely at the locket next to a river looking at the drawing. No matter how many times she stared she couldn't escape this pain that comes over her and the urge just to scream and unleash on something...but she doesn't the tears fall and she remains silent as the river gently takes its course. Gabbi places her hands on her face as she weeps muttering the words "Please be a dream and wake me from this nightmare..please....please" as she opens her eyes she only sees the truth and well...it'd be an understatement to say that the truth hurts. Gabbi stares back at the wagon with the blanket covering her body and let's out a weak exhale "Issi...Issi please you can't be gone...I want my sister back...I want the laughter and talk of childhood reflection...I want the loving care for when I was sick or sad.." As she continues speaking her voice becomes more audible and emotional "I want...I want....I need you to protect me Issi...I'm so scared being her by myself...I used to think I could take on the world with you...but now I..I am dead without you Issi...so please...if it's only for a second come back to me let me hear your voice again.." She begins to break down again slamming her fists in the ground wetting the ground with her tears. After a while she ceases her crying and looks back at the body and gives a sigh, "Lets have one last feast together sister..that is all I ask now.." She says before walking in search for a nearby cave to bury her once she concludes her feast.
