A quite young pale skinned half elf appears at the coast of the Maladon mainland. She looks exhausted, askes for passage and finally enters the lower city. A feeling of unbalance strikes her here even more than at the shore. She shudders and starts asking her way around asking for places where one might stay. After being advised to either go to one of the companies or a certain district around Weston Road she finally decides that the closer choice is the first to check. She walks into an establishment called the tipsy mermaid, a place not looking to pleasing but sheltered after all. Any inside will reliever her from strange looks on the street and drunk men calling out for her. She enters and the room looks quite empty a few souls sit at a table and play cards and then a Tiefling is standing at the bar, talking to someone that can only be described as a half giant. The Tiefling says something about "... in case something happens or you don't here from me in a month. I owe you a drink Adolpho." handing him an envelope, to which the big man laughingly replies "You owe me many drinks, master Marokin, leaving us for those Horses" "I count on you!" the Tiefling says, turning away and walking towards the door. He looks at Kroasi and smiles, or at least attempts to do so, showing his pointy teeth. She approaches the bar "I caught your name is Adolpho? I was directed this way if in need of accommodation for some time." "Ay, I am Adolpho, and who might you be? You seem a bit disturbed, deer lady, something happened to you?" Kroasi looks at him "You did not strike me as one to notice... you may call me Miss Hoful for now. Indeed things are disturbing me. Could you tell me how to get a message to the vale from here?" Adolpho looks a bit surprised and then gestures her to speak quietly: "To the vale Ms Hoful? I might know one or the other man to do so. There is someone called Raven here." At the mentioning of that name a smile slips over Kroasi's face. "Though the standing of the vale with the Empire is quite unclear at those times. Rumour has it that they shelter enemies of the Empire. You are from there? Aren't you? It is your accent." Kroasi nods, and hands a sealed letter, accompanied by two gold pieces. "This should do for a simple messenger task? I will make it easier for you by telling you the most important part about the message. The black tower my friends described me is even worse than they described, yet there are areas of protection against it. But there is another issue, I ran into 3 men, one old, 2 young, and they were attacked by a bear after foolishly running around the forest with torches ablaze. They are all dead now. Whatever was possessing the bear took hold of one of the younger men and would have also devoured me, hadn't the spirits protected me." "Two young man and an older one? My company lost three men recently. Any of them perhaps a child in size?" asks Adolpho with a somewhat concerned look on his face. "No child, though one of them was behaving oddly. He was a very muscular guy, might proud of that, did not do him any good. He seemed to be lacking in maturity what he had in muscles. The old geezer was a magic wielder and the younger one a fighter. The muscular one I am not certain of. He did not do that much at all, but he seemed to be able to heal and influence his surroundings by some kind of power..." "Anyway. I'd like to take up residence here for a while. Could you hand me keys to a room?" She puts another coin on the table and Adolpho hands her a key and directs her to the upper floor. The next weeks and months she can be seen in Haven and on the shore of Maladon, performing some sort of ceremonies that she would willingly explain to everyone are done to create balance between the spirits and the world. At least one of those ceremonies is done per week. Realizing that in haven this appears suspicious she starts to act on the shore, where the settlements are. She meditates, spreads spices and lights incense, talking into the air.
