Wanting to get into a D&D 5th edition group on Wednesdays

My cousin and I want to get into a D&D group that runs weekly on Wednesdays. I am new to D&D and the only experience I have is watching videos and streams. My cousin has played a few games but this was before season 5 came out. Neither of us have the knowledge or confidence to try and DM ourselves. At this time we do not care if it is a pre made story or all your own ideas. We just want to start learning more of the game and make a few friends along the way. We both have audio communication and are 21+ years of age.

Hey Aaron, I am starting up a noob friendly long term campaign. Is Wednesday the only day you will be available? I plan to run it Friday or Saturday. yeah sorry the only other time we would be able to run is Thursday during the day. I work weekends.

well I thought about it and it might be able to work it just depends on how long the session is
