a bottle of sprite

over the past little while von will have bin seen wandering around with a glass bottle. there's definitely something inside but without taking a much close look one would not know what.   today he is found in the basement of the tipsy mermaid next to the statue in the basement he is siting down and around him are laid some things von is know to have. a warhammer, a ring, and a silver hip flask. he appears to be hovering over the four different items with the botel staring at it intently. 

Unsure of what hes looking at he packs up the items and heads towards the home of his friend Constantine. 

you walk up to the gate and the guards let you in when you tell them your looking for Constantin, you get to his house and when you enter you are guided up stairs into a library where you see Constantin reading at a desk

He smiles and walks over to you. he stops in front of the desk and rests his fist over his hart and gives a small bow. ( Constiteen how are you on the beautiful day, oh how did the the clean up after the party go nothing was nicked i hope.) he begins taking out the glass bottle

oh Von your here, yes i am good thank you and yourself? The clean up went well as it always dose when one can control the very arcane, dont worry nothing can be taken from this house without me noticing it trust me, but what is the reason you have visited me if i may ask?

he takes out a bottle upon looking closer you see a little dried out sprite inside it and next to that he sets down a layen glass( i cam across the bottle on my trip to haven i fished it out of the ocean as it floated along. iv noticed as of later that the glass of the bottel seems to chaneg coulour in a simaler fashion to a layen glass but it seems to be much more complacated like its giving out more informashion) the botel is seald up like a fine bottel of wine with a cork and wax i think   (i wouldn't dear open it the sprite might fall to bits. i was hopeing you might be able to tell me what it is that it does and is telling me.)

Constantin looks at you most excitedly, ( oh Von and i didnt get you anything well lets have a look mmm ,) he takes the bottle and brings it his face, (Arcana check 18) he smiles wide (this is highly magical, wait let me check something) he runs to his books and flips through pages upon pages (knowledge Lore 21) he points to a page in a book. 

Von looks on intently and seems to be verey excited (so what do you think we got )

The 'sprite' is a nightwisp; such creatures are highly magical and glow distinctive colours in the presence of magic. They are generally useless for detecting auras but are much better at finding magical objects and active spells

so it can be used to detect magic items? and activ magics?

he looks to constinteen verey excited and the has a verey serious look on his face ( i would ask that we keep this between ourselves for the time being. ) 

Yes it can; but note that it has virtuallly no range (you have to be right next to something to sense magic) and other magic items can interfere with it (for example Von's hammer needs to be at least 10 feet away when searching for magic).

what about the ring and the flask?

very weak magic that does not interfere much

ok cool 

will it dectek those kinds of magic items ?  

Constantin looks at you (yes just between friends) he smiles

he smiles and shakes your hand ( if you ever have something you could use my help with please don't hesitate to ask me) he rests his hand over his hart and bows then leaves your home and heads back to the blue sashes.
