Fire streaks across the sky as the black mare carrying the small Warlock galloped through the air racing against the setting sun. She has to arrive before her Mistress wakes for the night she has great news after all. The mare’s hooves settled into the snow outside the main gate of the compound steam rising as the fire melted the snow. The warlock ran into the main library and sadly as she looked at the pale hand holding the goblet of thick red liquid peeking out from behind the ornate high back chair she knew she was late, again. ‘You’re late again,’ the general of the undead whispered ‘but it is ok I forgive you as I know you have brought me good news’ she paused to take a deep drink of the vitae from the goblet. Megera stands up and walks towards the small warlock. ‘You are a wonderful lieutenant dear we have done wonderful these past few years we have completely subjugated the dwarves of Grimstad we have taken a large section of western Savonia. One could say we are doing really well.’ She tosses back the last of the liquid from the goblet. ‘But what I find the most distressing is that Andor, my ungrateful little shit of a brother has taken most of western Royce and most of the entire kingdom of Vestinia. I must admit to enjoying that he named those lands the Berk Empire. He needs to be stopped or made into my subject.’ The gnome warlock hands her Mistress and scroll. ‘I am sure you will find this data most pleasing mistress.’ She unrolls the scroll and reads its contents. ‘This is good news thank you Selgani.’ She gently pats her pet warlock on the head. Megera using a small dagger slits a line across her pale wrist and allows Selgani to feed. ‘My sister and her friends will be returning soon I can feel it, the only question will be where will they focus their attentions?’ pulling her wrist away from the hungry gnome Megera walks out to the balcony. She rises her hands to towards the sky and shouts loud, ‘We are strong, nay we are unstoppable… we are Legion!!’ A crow flies of from the balcony next to Meg and soars over the tens of thousand undead howling at the speech of their general. ‘Come to me, Sister together we can rule it all.’ she whispers to herself.
