Using Roll20 as map for World of Tanks clan war?

So I am looking for a better way to manage the backend of our World of Tanks clan war. We currently use xbox live messages and a MS paint map to keep track of everything (like a risk board). It is easy to color map territories in paint when a clan takes over an area. Is there an easy way to do that with roll20? Is roll20 the best platform to handle this project? I have started working and I get the very basics so far (I have added a map background, tokens, and starter character sheets). Thanks.

It kind of depends on what you need to color. If the regions are square or circular, you could use auras on a token to color them. If you upload each region individually, you could use token tinting, (or pre-colored version in rollable table tokens). Depending on what you wanted, you could just drag on colored markers of some variety to claim territories. Perhaps if you could provide some images of what you have in mind?
This will give you the idea.

Probably Rollable Table Tokens for each region would be the easiest way to handle it on Roll20.
Thanks for your answer, but I think the number of territories is too large for that. I will try something else instead.

Here is the wiki page for multi-sided tokens of each region from Rollable Tables method, that The Aaron suggested, https://wiki.roll20.net/Card_Decks_and_Rollable_Ta... Different but similar option, if each Territory was a Token then you could use TINTS. https://wiki.roll20.net/Token_Features#Tint_Color_... Another very quick way is the Roll20 drawing tool, https://wiki.roll20.net/Drawing_Tools (similar to the MS Paint you were using, no paint bucket fill but there is filled-shape drawing). I recommend the Polygon drawing tool with both the line-stroke and the fill-color. Would that work? Gauss is one user who has run some Tanks games on Roll20, he or other users may come along to give some tips and tricks. Another idea, ever used Flags or Pins placed on the territory? This could be easily done with Tokens (uploaded or from the Marketplace), or even Card Decks. I would like to recommend Hapke's pins from the Marketplace as an example, https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/833/old-...
Thanks for the answer. I dabbled with using tank tokens with the aura option. It was meh... A paint bucket would be the easiest option, if it were included. The shapes are a bit complicated for the polygon tool, and I don't want to have to make 30 different territory tokens every few weeks when we start a new map. I think I will just have to try something different. Thanks again.

If you grab something like GIMP, you can fairly easily make the regions. GIMP is free and does a lot of the things more powerful programs like Photoshop can do. The method I would use in GIMP is this... 1. Upload the map broken into sections. 2. Copy it to a new layer. 3. Highlight the area of the map and then Invert the selection. Delete the rest of the map. 4. Hide the other layers and export. 5. Repeat 2 - 4 for every region That should do the job, and for a map of 30+ regions already drawn out, it would probably take about 20-30min. It's probably going to take longer to save them into png or jpg than it would for the rest of the job. If you can upload them to a website, you won't chew up Roll20 Storage, then you import them to your Library, and drop them over a 'blank map' basically using a new copy over the old ones. I find that Roll20 can't do 'layers' well so densely packed regions would have issues with selecting the tokens to roll. If you make all of the images the same size, then you just plonk them on the map one after the other and not care about how many 'items' you might have on the map.
