Edited 1379483021
Information Looking for players interested in joining persistent campaign set in the Stellar Winds. We are using Modified / Futuristic version DND4.0. Characters are to be designed with the intentions of maturing into heroic / if not legendary during the course of there adventuring career. Historically Stellar Winds has been about development of character's relationships with one another and the various powers and elements that operate in the universe. So we are looking for players want to tell a story about there characters from start to finish rather then hack and slash. Although players can expect an epic adventure filled with challenges, dangers, and where legends are forged from the embers of mortals. http://www.stellarwinds.wikidot.com/ The Current Campaign: Stellar Winds - The One Throne. - Currently Mondays 7pm - 12pm, Eastern Standard (-5) Set in the Gaia Sector on the Core World of Alexandria. The Farrian family struggles to maintain control over it's territories while avoiding all out war with rival families plot against them a viscous game of thrones. Players will play key members of the Farrian family and will work together achieve personal and political goals during high tension era for the core worlds. (Tension that closely resemble to ancient wars that dominated Europe prior and up to world war 1). The various worlds of the old star league empire struggle over resources and colonies and wage secret wars fought privateer and espionage. All the while Farrien family stumbles on to a lead that suggests that some group or someone might be behind it all. Further questions can be answered at character generation as to how clerics, and wizards fit into the universe. OOC Expectations: • At this time only Classic DND Classes are pre-approved. Character classes from supplement books are tightly restricted and must be submitted as a detailed request. • Characters will begin at level 3 and will have to be associated with the Farrian Family. This will be a Human Campaign although some alien species will have exceptions based on how they fit into the story line. Noble members of the Farrian family are available as roles as well as various servants, Knights, and specialists. • Game is expected to be a complete Season representing episode 18 campaign. (Renewable based on ratings). • Power Builds will enjoy the befit of being powerful but will find diminishing rewards for combat solutions that don't serve the greater point of the story. • XP will be award based on quality of role playing per session and measured by achievement rather then monsters killed. No exp is award for what you kill. • Players are expected to have a working idea of game play mechanics. (You have read the rules at least once). • PvP allowed at the Approval of the Game Master. • Character will rarely only die should it serve the story or at the hands of poor choices made on behalf of the player. (ie challenging an orc chieftain to a death match at level 2). The emphasis is placed on a character's growth in the universe of Stellar Winds. Role Playing Standards: • Players are to maintain level of professionalism when it comes to dice, encounter, or character failure. We expect good sportsmanship and graceful failure should rolls turn bad. • Players are expected to remain in Character at all times, and be as descriptive as they can in there actions as the game will be conducted in skype conference call. • Players are to maintain character sheets secretly and private to other players. This helps cut down on the Meta gaming that occurs. The Universe Stellar Winds is story that takes place in a sector of space where classic fantasy variants of races reside to close to comfort. It is a group of star clusters in a twenty light year cube of space tucked away under the belly of a enormous purple nebula called the Great Morass. These clusters are home to interstellar governmental alien empires, colonial worlds, and ancient elven home worlds cloaked in mystery and magic. Current Day Stella Sector: The Stella Sector has is divided into four subsectors quartering off various clusters of stars. The shape and look of the politics of present day Stellar Winds by the Star League Empire a powerful government of human worlds that raided distant worlds for resources, gold, and magic. The Star League ruled for over 100 years unchecked in much the same style of Spanish empire of the 1500s. The Star League carted off treasures found on distant worlds in giant space gallons though fell apart to internal strife during its twilight years giving rise to the Kingdoms of Gaia ruled by absolute monarchies waring over the ruins left behind by the Star League in the colonial frontiers of Stella Sector. Ancient Times: In the ancient times the Elven Empire of Asyuran rules across the sector in what is considered the banner of stars. Advanced in technology and magical by nature they're civilization was vast and cultured. They had the ability to travel from one star system to another in a matter of minutes through the use of a the Starway. A network of passages that connect together in between time and space. However as advanced as there civilization was the destruction of there capital world to a super nova plunged the civilization into utter chaos leaving the various distant worlds isolated and alone without the ability to access the Starway. This dark age marked the start of a slow death of the star elves and the rise to alien empires in neighboring clusters and later on the humans.

Okay, so I love the storyline and concept behind this campaign, and would love to join. However, I'm not sure I'd be able to play until 12 am regularly. (Midnight is a bit late, as I need to get up at 5 am nearly every morning.) Also, there may be a few exceptions- games I can't make due to life outside of rolld20.) If that's okay, I'd love to join, but I can't really be on that late consistently.
would love to join. have plenty of experience with D&D

Are you okay with a rookie to DnD? I'm new tabletop rpgs and only have played a few pathfinder sessions so far. I just got my hands on a 4th edition core rule book and this looks like something I don't want to miss out on.
I find myself very intrigued by your game concept. I'm sorry that I didn't notice it before until I found it in the LFG section. I sent a message tov ask to join a bit earlier and seeing that it is skype based, NuzlockeGriff is my skype name if you feel like adding me unto this story.
Ok Nuz. I'll be in touch to see. We are interested in finding a player tha messes well. So we will be screening. Nothing personal we just have alot of requests and only do many spots open. So we need flexible players willing to take direction and are interested in role playing not roll playing. Working understanding of 4.0 is ++++++
Hey hey, We need one player. Please Ping me via roll20 private message.
