So I made a post about this topic 6 months ago here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5408768/slug%7D Three years ago, there were two similar S&I's here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1553790/slug%7D https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1240756/slug%7D However, those suggestions were for Forum Specific Search/Advanced Search. Only the Forum Specific portion of those suggestions was actually implemented and there never were any "Advanced Search" features added to the site. Joshua D. posted this same suggestion a year ago here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/4751387/slug%7D This deals more with a system wide search instead of forum specific, but may be helpful to any Devs looking at trying to implement this feature: https://github.com/moodle/moodle/tree/master/searc... I would still say this should be a much higher priority than it is right now. I am surprised how little attention this topic has gotten from the community. Being able to filter out old posts or narrow down your search more would be infinitely helpful in navigating through the mess of topics that get created on the forums. Just typing in a search for a specific genre in the character sheet forum or LFG forum gives me a mess of topics that are most likely irrelevant and would take me a long time to get through manually. Other sites with message boards have advanced search features that make it a great deal easier to find specific topics / information in a forum ( https://www.reddit.com is a good example). Searching on Google for information in the Roll20 forums is easier than using the Roll20 search, even when it gives me results from other websites in the mix. Not saying I don't understand why this has been left at the bottom of the "To Do" list for the Devs. I think the in game video/audio was far more important for them for a long time. Great job on the recent video/audio updates, by the way. It works so well now that I've switch one of my groups from Google Hangouts / Discord back over to using Roll20 100%, and I'm planning on doing it for my other games too! You guys do great work and I'll likely be a Pro user for a long, long time even if you never get around to Advanced Search options for the forums. However, it would be a huge help to new users and veteran users a like for this to get pushed up a little higher in the queue of things "To Do". Thanks Devs.
