Art Inquiry!

Good morning, all! I've been stalking the site for a few weeks after an introduction from friends. I'm really drawn in by the community resources like character art/token packs and maps. I'd like to start offering my own art packs, but I have a question though and I'm hoping someone will be able to provide some insight. When creating art for heroes and NPCs, is the preferred format an aerial "top down" view or a head on view "full body" I know the application lends itself more to the top-down view, but feel this may not allow for a lot of character detailing to be seen. However, full body shots lead me to believe that the unit measurements on the grid would be thrown off due to the character heights. I'd really like to offer full body character art and was thinking the solution to this would be to use token portraits, like the sample module offers. Is this a viable option or have tastes diverged since then among the community? Thanks to any and all in advance for reading and/or taking the time to respond. It'll be a huge help! -- Jam

Personally, I think top-down is more useful for games designed towards the battle grid (D&D and friends), while a full body piece is just fine for a game where tactical positioning and facing isn't critical. Considering just about any game can be played on Roll20...
