I've been fooling around with Roll20 setting it up for my next game session.  I come to realize that it would be handy to distinguish between Characters/Monsters and Items.  Please let me explain... In the Journal under Characters I have added all the PCs and Monsters for my campaign.  (Yes as mention on other posts a folder to separate the two and organize them would HELP a lot).  I also added "Characters" as items.  I created "Characters" for Weapons with all the stats of the weapon.  For example a Short Sword "Character" with the abilities of Name, Damage, Critical, Enhancements, Weight. Now the benefit to my method is I can create a new "Character" Weapons assign it to a player and they can modify the stats and then create macros to utilize the stats.  This allow infinite Items for the player without having to modify their character sheet. The down side is theirs no relationship.  It would be nice if I can create a "Character" item and then assign it to a player and their character.  Then the item can use stats from the character that it has a relationship with.  If this could happen then the player could make simple macros that reference the item.  For example.  A PC has Strength stat and uses a Short Sword.  The short sword requires the strength stat from the PC to use.  The player has a macro for attack that uses the short sword.   I know there are ways to do what I want now, but its convoluted and difficult.  I'm just thinking that if there were Characters and Items and the Items could have a relationship with the Characters, then the macros and scripts may be a bit simpler.
