[LFP] Old School Dungeon World - [7pm GMT Fridays - Every other week]

Hey all so I'm looking to do some old school dungeon delving in my favourite RPG created, Dungeon World, because despite the name I've never actually done that before. So I was thinking every other Friday since I've already got a group and dungeon delving is a little bit more casual anyway. I could do this as an Open Table if lots of people are interested in just doing a few one shots/few sessions of dungeon delving every other week. So yeah who is interested? The first session I will try to organise is 15th July.
I am really interested in this: actually I registered on Roll20 just to write this response. But that leads to the following two caveats: 1.) I have never played a virtual game before 2.) I am not a native speaker. I really love Dungeon World, but was mostly playing as a GM, so I would really like to have the chance to play. Old-School Play, especially Open-Table is highly fascinating for me, as I would like to see how the dynamics enfold as the groups mix and mingle. Furthermore, I like the freedom in scheduling, as it might be able to miss a session or two (especially as Fridays are prime spots for invitations etc). Have you seen the West Marches RPG (<a href="http://arsludi.lamemage.com/index.php/78/grand-experiments-west-marches/" rel="nofollow">http://arsludi.lamemage.com/index.php/78/grand-experiments-west-marches/</a>)? The stories over there got me interested in this type of game. Is it the same you understand as Open-Table? So, if you decide to run this game, I would feel happy if you considered me as a potential player.
The first one should be a problem, we all start somewhere. The second one might be, unfortunately I only know English and so most of the players will be English speakers as well. Sorry... As for the Open Table thing, yes I have read that but my inspiration especially with Dungeon Crawling is going to be more like this: <a href="http://thealexandrian.net/wordpress/5/roleplaying-games/re-running-the-megadungeon" rel="nofollow">http://thealexandrian.net/wordpress/5/roleplaying-games/re-running-the-megadungeon</a> . The essential gameplay is you going into the dungeon and exploring and hoping to get treasure and then trying to get out again.
I am sorry if my Remark came over a bit too drastic. Personally I think i am Able to converse Quite acceptably in English. I just wanted to state from the beginning that i might ask for some explanation in case i did not understand sth correctly. I converse a lot in english for my work, but i that is focussed on a scientific context. honestly, i am looking forward to play a Game in english Language as that is the Language of Most of my Books and Stories. I like the articles by the alexandrinian, so i think this might be a good Match.&nbsp;
Ok sorry for the confusion, yeah that seems great will invite you to the game.
It sounds like a great idea! I have been looking for an Old School, regular game of Dungeon World for a while now. I would be very interested, but Fridays would eventually get busy for me when school kicks back up
Just as a nod to the related post over at reddit: I am open both for Dungeon World or World of Dungeons. I really like the streamlined WoD rules, and have had some great experience with a similar "minimalistic" PBTA game (with a Pirate-flavor), so i do not think that Playbooks are a must. On the other hand I really like the evocative moves of the Dungeon World Playbooks, and would love to use them as a Player. Btw: I have read your linked articles (and some related ones) over at the Alexandrian, and boy, I am excited for this. I have recently read his advice on "jaquaying" mega-dungeons and liked them alot from a GM perspective, but his examples in the above article showed how much "life" you can coax out of a small dungeon segment. It was a good read.
Found this from your Google+ post. An old school dungeon crawl sounds like fun! I'd love to join, if you are still looking for people. I haven't ever really looked at the WoD stuff before, but I'll take a look at it.
Interested as well! Been GMing too much lately, would love to be part of the 'other side' for once.
