All right, folks. There was a recent issue with roll-offs, so I want to go over a few things concerning what happens before a session starts. Remember, at this point the GM is usually tweaking the session, fixing the monsters, getting the maps perfect, and trying to juggle 10-15 people who may or may not want 5-6 spots. So here's how it's going to work. The rule: ONLY roll if you 100% want to play the session. Let me say that again. ONLY ROLL IF YOU WANT TO PLAY. Assuming that you could otherwise attend the entire session, here are some guidelines. You can also check the minor rulings doc for more info on multipliers. Reasons NOT to roll: You have approved characters, but none are the right level for the session. You aren't sure if you actually want to play. You can't actually play the whole session. You want to give others a chance to play but would be willing to fill in. You are crafting. Seems pretty simple, right? So let's go through what happens to each type of person from above: You declare that you are inelligble and taking mult, then you may take your multi and go. You have to decide before rolls close if you are willing to play or not. If so, then roll or see #4. You can't get a mult for sitting out when you are not willing to actually play when given the opportunity. You don't get a mult. You are welcome to hang around or spectate for whatever chunk you are around for, but DO NOT ROLL and do not take a mult. You declare you are 'waiting' then wait until the DM says all the rolls are done and they will let you know if you are needed to fill out the group. If you don't get in, the DM will inform you that you get a mult. You say "I'm crafting!". You do not get a mult. You cannot play in a session where you craft. Again, pretty darn straightforward. Please remember that the GMs are juggling a whooole bunch of stuff when they run sessions, so do your best not to make things more complicated for them. Thanks!
