New Player LF 4e group *full*

I'm a new player LF a GM and players for a 4e game. I would prefer a quick one shot, but if enough involved would like a longer experience, I am willing to try it. Experience is not an issue here, I am very new and have had trouble finding people to play with in my area. I live in EST. Play time will be dependent on group consensus once recruitment starts.

I've never GMed before but I've been playing for about a year and I have a book of really short dungeons that I could use. I also have a friend who would play with us.

i need .dnd4e files for iplay4e, those are generated with the character creator you have access with a ddi subscription, or theres another way to make them?

I was thinking Skype or google + hangout. Whoever is GM'ing can decide if we use Virtual Tabletop or something else. I make my characters using the sheets at: <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com</a> and <a href="http://www.dndonlinegames.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.dndonlinegames.com</a> All you have to do is put the URL in chat and as long as you set them to public, anyone can view them.

I would probably use the virtual tabletop. Doesn't it have a built in voice chat? And I have a site with the Player Handbooks on it if anyone needs them. For the character sheets you can find ones online that auto complete or we could walkthrough making them. I am also EST and evenings are best for me too. I'm thinking Friday or Saturday evenings/nights.

Im also EST, friday or saturday nights are good for me too. It would be nice if someone can help me making a character. I wanted to start playing with some friends so ive read the rules compendium but i havent read the players handbooks, ill give them a look anyway.

Players Handbook 1 helps with making characters but I might be able to help if you are still confused. As a warning I don't have any of the rules updates so what is in the base books is what I'm using.

Saturday evenings/nights would work best for me. I'm new to vtabletop so it may take some getting used to. Matt Jakyma could you please link me to the online character sheets? Should we set up a date to create characters?

I think we should set up a date to create characters.

Matt that sounds like a great idea. I'll hop in too. If you are GM'ing, we can base our characters around whatever adventure you are planning. Will also help us come up with how characters meet and why they are travelling together.

Well I was just going to start with the dungeon crawls that I have but I do have some campaigns if that would be better.

The only problem I see is that Artificers don't use Orbs and you have an Accurate Orb. You can change it to a rod, wand or staff which all can be Accurate Implements. I'd recommend a staff but it is up to you.

I was going to say Saturday but three of our people still need to make character sheets and I'm busy tomorrow night. We may have to wait until next Saturday.

Depends on what you need, I just have the D&D pregen cards which I work off.

We currently have an Artificer (leader), a maybe Cleric (leader) and a maybe Rogue (striker) but the rogue guy said he could play anything. A defender or a controller would be cool if that is fine with you.

If you still need players I can make up a character.

Is there a posible date for the first game?

I've decided to roll a Human Paladin rather than using a pregen, I had some trouble figuring out what I needed to do, but I think it all worked out.

This Saturday hopefully is the day we'll start. Emily if you want you could upload your character sheet to mediafire or something and I could check to see if everything is in order. Sorry Zeal but we already have 5 people plus a back up so we are full. Againstawall if you see this you still need to do a character sheet.
