Looking for several players AFMBE game, night games (6-10pm pst, days flexible) roleplay focused

Hey there! Starting up a campaign here in the next few weeks that utilizes the AFMBE (All Flesh Must Be Eaten) rules system. No experience is necessary, as one of the advantages of the system is that its very "common sense", and even beyond that, I'm fairly experienced with simply "handling the rules side" for my players. I'm a long time roleplayer, mostly using pbp sites like RPOL (which I ran a very successful game for over 8 years that's still running on there), but I'm looking to switch over to roll20 to get more for myself and my players. In particular, this campaign is a fairly typical "survival horror" game, in which the players are relatively "normal" people, and the game begins before any outbreaks or infections have set in. I'm running with a new idea, that helps me out tremendously, which is "character archetypes". In other words, I have several "general descriptions" of roles that need to be filled by characters, to ensure that we have a well rounded set of personalities for the game, but beyond the small guidelines, the players are allowed to be whomever they wish. A list of the archetypes that have still not been filled will be listed below: ARCHETYPE #1: (Male OR Female) Police Deputy Description: A deputy (one of only a few) of the town. Could be related to the sheriff, or not. This character archetype has a relationship with somebody in their dispatching office (brother/sister/boyfriend/girlfriend, its up to the player). This character should feel relatively representative of the town, and should have a good feeling about protecting the town. Being a representative for the town, deputies are generally quite friendly, or congenial, and this character archetype is no different. ARCHETYPE #3: (Female only) Teacher/waitress/serving girl (pretty much any career in a small town that has a lot of interaction with townsfolk) Description: The woman should have a relationship that recently ended BADLY, and will never go back (i.e. abusive boyfriend/husband) and she has lived in Livingstone for a bit to get away from it all. She was born here, however, and so Livingstone is very familiar, regardless. Other than a small piece of their background, the character is able to be whomever they wish, within reason. ARCHETYPE #5: (Male OR Female) College-bound Youth Description: This character is either a football player (male) or a cheerleader (female) who is very talented at what they do. They are 18 years old, and have a full ride scholarship to a local college, and they're expected to perform for their new school at whatever they do (football or cheerleading). Fairly formulaic, but the character has only these restrictions. The connection that should be created with this character is the OTHER sex version of themselves. In other words, if the football player is a PC, then the cheerleader could be an NPC (or another PC if you can handle that). Either way, they should be in a relationship, and have strong ties to one another. These characters embody the "but I had so much to live for" portion of the campaign, and will remind everybody how hard life HAS gotten because of the outbreak. Other than a strong relationship to the other PC (NPC?), and a strong desire to go to college and succeed, this character is fairly flexible with what they do (i.e. baseball player instead of football/hockey, etc.). Just keep in mind this is a small town, and things that fit there should work. Like I've said before, anybody, even with no afmbe experience, is more than welcome. We're a group that will be fairly centered around roleplaying to the best of our ability, enjoying ourselves (most important!) and delving deep into the nitty gritty details of a (very) detail rich campaign. This is not a game for players simply looking to blow off steam shooting zombies :) We're going to meet up with all of our players before determining a solid "day" or "days" that we game, as myself and the current players are fairly flexible. We're all adults here, so we understand missing sessions now and again.
Forgot to add, please PM me if you're interested. I'd rather discuss potential characters, and work them into the character archetypes via PMs so we don't clutter this up.
Also: Archetype #1 has been filled, we're still looking for archetype #3, and both of the parts of archetype #5 (female AND male) filled. Private message if you have any questions.
Alright, both versions of archetype #5 have been filled as well. We're still looking for archetype #3, but if nobody snaps that up, we'll be starting the game here as soon as we can all line up our schedules.
Alright, we've gotten started and are now on week two of our campaign. All of the basic "archetypes" have been filled, but I'm looking to replace 1-2 players that unfortunately got hung up and can no longer play. 6 players is my max, and we currently have 4. Basic background for new characters is that you're from a small town (think SMALL, like 200-300 people) near milwaukee (west of Milwaukee) in a forest surrounded town. I don't want to give too much away in terms of specifics, but we're looking to game again this Sunday (possibly Saturday as well, depending but our main day is Sunday afternoon/nights), so hit me up as soon as possible to begin character creation. Please, approach me with a CONCEPT in mind, NOT a build. We're most interested in WHO you are, not what your combat rolls are. :)
dibs on the the tank driver!
Lol, you're a dork. Unfortunately, new players will be forced to game with THAT guy!
Alright, campaign week two is starting up again here in 20 minutes (1pm pacific time), any applicants please hit me up with private messages about the game, so we can get you started (yes, you can apply even after the campaign has started today. We're an ongoing game)
Good luck with this. My Traveller games run 1PM-5P EST FRI & SUN so cannot in any way make this, but sounds like a fun time. I'm a big fan of Eden's game,. and have run some AFMBE, and years of Con X.
Its been a blast so far, and although a few people seem to miss sessions here and there, we have a good "core" group that shows up pretty regularly. Very fun. AFMBE is nice and simple to pick up, which makes it great for newcomers, but a lot of complexity if you know where to look for it, which makes it good for rules-nerds like myself. Overall a great system :)
