What should we do after Lunion/Wypoc

We know the current plan of  Lunion, aka be summoned to court. But what should we do afterward, other than Wypoc? I would want to fulfill some of the posted Merc jobs currently up. The one in particular would be the Slavery ring one " 33. Slavery Ring: Carefully extracted missives hidden inside the X-boat Mail delivery network have eluded to a possible, illegal slavery ring inside Lunion Subsector involving worlds: Ianic (1924), Resten (2323) and an un-named, third world. Patron wants to meet on Lunion/Lunion to scout the slavers, learn about their wares, the location and details of their slave market, and finally locate the un-named destination world. Bonus pay to those who put a halt to the slavery ring, but not required. Media coverage not allowed until after the triangle trade is disrupted for good. Dangerous. Secret. Patron is polity-backed and reputable. Mission available only 1109-1115. Recovery options upon negotiation. Special Incentives automatically available." It's a good one for 2 reasons, first off the patron would like to meet on Lunion, and guess where we're going? And 2 I get the feeling that this would not only back up our standing with the Nobles if the court case goes awry, this seems like the type of job to pay VERY well.  If you don't like the idea, I was also curious about the Overhead Rumor of those strange gemstones on 567-908, obviously we wouldn't do this one anytime soon, but with those gemstones being so close to Darrian and Bowman, I get the feeling there's a lot more going on with those Gems then we know. Also we could make a stop in Darrian and buy TL 16 items that we'd need for later use. " 30. Overhead Rumor: Some small-time belter claims to have spotted a new and strange deposit of gemstones on 567-908 ( Spinward Marches 1031) that no one seems to have previously discovered. The belter's name or codename is Mtume Denali and is unaffiliated with Ling Standard Products (LSP) also mining in District 268. This mission. Is only available in 1110." Also I already know we need to fulfill the Dame and Isis/Sebastien's tickets, But we don't have a plan of what to do afterward.
The previous plan was for Charoux to take a vacation for a bit until the ship was done and come back fresh... but if you guys want to take on those missions without him, it can probably be managed. Honestly, the bigger problem with those is “What ship?”, and, by extension, “What Captain?”; maybe Sebastien can negotiate that while we’re on Lunion... but let’s make sure the Nobles don’t call upon the people to rise up with pitchforks and fire...
I won't speak for anybody, but I think those both look like worthy tickets. It's probably too soon to commit to anything, but my guess is that once we finish with Wypoc, we'll have some time till the new ship is ready. So we'll be there at Lunion, and looking for things to do. Especially things that pay while we're waiting.
Also forgot to mention this, The Dame wouldn't be able to use any footage taken of the slavery ring until we're 100% positive that the slavery ring has been disbanded/broken up. She might not like that very much. Although I'm pretty sure that the second all the court stuff is done Gev will just immediately take her to where she needs to go.
Even if the Artemis Group  does not sign up for a given Ticket, they can pool their resources, do legwork, tap their Contacts and Allies in order to gain more information on a Ticket.  This further impresses a Patron by showing them the company is willing to do the drudgery to make an informed decision on the Ticket. As for the Dame:  Gevaudan is taking his Sister-Dame to Regina for a three day layover as she scouts Regina for a local distribution office for Kfan Uzangou  the magazine she works for.  Then it's off to Menorb, Dentus, Pandrin, (Gev picks up two Vargr-shaped, Human-built Servitor Robots for his new ship) and further into Gvurrdon  Sector to complete the Dame Ticket which runs up to just over 3MCr for her and her attache, Uthka Varzeekh. Gevaudan, once he is sure that Dame Qithka is safely home in the Society of Equals, will begin his post-adventuring, mercantile career just as the Equality War (1111-1116) breaks out.  The challenge here will be for him to repeatedly conduct trade inside and outside his home polity.  Quarterly, the Artemis Group Entity  can transmit an Entity mission for him to complete given his ship tonnage and capabilities.  If Gev completes the mission, a bonus to the Quarterly Profits dice roll is enjoyed. The Colonial Cruiser will be ready for its maiden flight well after the Wypoc Ticket is completed or failed.  From Lunion/Lunion, the Artemis Group  can decide its fate by looking at the Posted Mercenary Mission for available Tickets, help the Third Imperium with the aftermath of the Fifth Frontier War, conduct trade runs or generally travel about until the need for money overrides sightseeing.
It only just dawned on me that we have a little over a year to kill before the new ship is ready! We're still going to be getting about in Humpty Dumpty right? Or is that being sold off?  Probably not a huge amount of fun, but bouncing between Zaibon and Lunion could earn us a cool amount of credits. Radioactives one way, Robotics the other. Bouncing between two star systems could get tedious, but it's a profitable run.
After the Ares is gutted for systems, weapons, ordinance and other wants for the Colonial Cruiser being constructed in a Lunion/Lunion orbital, LSP shipyard, she is to be sold to the Duchess Delphine Adorania Muudashir who apparently wants it for its sentimentality, having been drafted and built by the late Col. Lloyd Robertson.  It is one of very few Imperium-built, Broadsword- class Mercenary Cruisers and a successful one at that thanks to the Artemis Group .  The ship's jumpdrive, the Zhunastu Industries K-rated system, is wanted back by the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service.  They have read reports incoming from District 268 of the historic importance and quirky value of the old and very odd piece of equipment. So, yes, the Artemis Group will be without a ship once Gevaudan detaches from the company to take his passengers to Gvurrdon  Sector.  Trade is one answer to the interim construction time.  Mercenary Tickets are another diversion to pass the time waiting.
Obviously, Sebastien will just have to commandeer us another ship in the meantime. Which Noble has the best ship? XD
Could we not leave the cutting up of the Ares till a bit further down the track? Those systems don't need to be installed right away do they? Maybe they could be put in last?

If the Artemis Group wanted to cut costs on both the Colonial Cruiser and the Sixth Horizon , the company could let Gev have two Particle Beams and four Pulse Lasers since they're slightly used.  Vargr don't place any more value from off-the-shelf than second-hand gear.  Shaves 10MCr off the Sixth Horizon  easily.  Gevaudan has not laid down the credits yet.  Else, his name would be off the Shareholders List, having cashed out his shares.  Still time to give the Pilot-Astrogator a severance bonus for his services this entire War.   But to answer Alby, yes the Ares can be spared the indignity for a while longer as the Colonial Cruiser's Structure, Hull and Armor are still being welded and bolted on.  A simple commute out to orbit is all that's needed to conduct a progress inspection by one or more Educated characters.   Also:  This was only touched upon in meta, but once Gevaudan has his ship and is technically off the company roster, he's not flying his former employers for free.  Who wants the top bunks in his 200dT Far Scout?  Who's even ridden in a Scout vessel other than Gev?  Before you start calling High Passage, remember that Gev's ship has only 4.5dT of Cargo space.  That's four tons of High Passenger crap taking up space from the gear the Stealth Team takes to Wypoc.  Look's like Medium Passage will be the ticket Artemis will be using to insert on Wypoc. As your Lame-Duck Referee, be thinking about these details as they will come up again after Court.
... he's not flying his former employers for free ... Then I guess he'll have to pay for those Particle Accelerators?
