Is there a way to talk as the token you have currently selected?

As my game progresses and I add more and more npcs, the list of characters I get on the list to pick from becomes more and more huge, which causes a huge pain when I need to have dialog between 2 or more npcs since I have to scroll between them each and every time. http://puu.sh/q828g/89362fee6a.jpg I went looking though the wiki and found something that seemed like it could solve my issues with this command "/em @{selected|token_name}" but that comes out the wrong way making it ultimately useless. Is there a command or macro I could use so that the text I write comes out as if it was said by the token I have currently selected? Even the command I previously mentioned would help if it would just do a "Token name..." instead of "Current name Token name..." like on this picture here. http://puu.sh/q829N/7dbeabb8e2.png Many thanks in advance.

If you are the DM then /emas will allow you to use something like: /emas @{selected|token_name} says hello Check out the text chat section of the wiki for more info, specifically the section relating to NPC speech :)
Wow, that is actually just what I had in mind. Thanks a lot.

Happy to help, have fun with your many NPC's :)
Well I wrote a couple of quick macros to add to my hotbar so I can easily talk or emote as the currently selected token without typing the command each time: "Emote_as_token" /emas @{selected|token_name} ?{Emote} and "Talk_as_token" /as @{selected|token_name} ?{Text} Problem now is the NPC icon doesn't show up in the chat. Pretty nitpicky I know, but since I have several one-off npcs (mooks) with the same name but different icons to differentiate their equipment it would be pretty neat if they did. http://puu.sh/q82Tr/1664e4d9aa.png

That is a good method too. You can get more options using API if GM has Pro. With a community-created API script (Pro subscriber perk), you can use "Color-Emote" giving you a new command for your macro. Looks like this (screenshot from one of my games), and offers different options for what portrait or token shows up in the chat next to what they're saying:
Three fighters... all with 18 strength and one with 100? o_0 What kind of stat rolling system are they abusing Gold? lol
You might also want to put a macro for descriptions /desc ?{what?whatever} This will output Bold Centered Text
