Okay so I just laid out a possible encounter/session, I just used the Egyptian gods in my notes since I don't know the pantheon of Sandtown basically the concept is to retrieve thoth's book of spells, of which the one to recover it is said to become a living God (until thoth smites him or somethin) it would consist of finding/getting to the dungeon if the god king doesn't provide this,  entry would be granted to those that answer the riddle of a sphinx, which would lead to a maze of sorts (I imagine it as a living afterlife kind of thing), of which the correct way could be found via the answers to riddles/lore trivia questions at intersections, with small traps or encounters for incorrect answers, or just an everlasting circle of wrong directions. after that would be a chamber with a portal for each member, of which they would go through for a trial of spirit (each one based upon a different aspect of the soul as believed in ancient egypt), whence they would then be transported to one last portal, larger than the last ones, where they would find ammit, (the beast that eats the hearts unworthy to go to the afterlife) for a final test of heart, which could be a diplomacy/rp encounter if we fail it could turn into a skill challenge or fight. each of these encounters (sphinx, 5 portals, ammit) would yield a different key to the chest that holds the spellbook (which was kept in a shit load of boxes) and speak to the final guardian, an immortal serpent, for the final puzzle of how to get to the chest itself. depending on how the party got ammit's key, the serpent would be more or less friendly, offering either hints or being obstructive to the party's success then the party would eventually get the damn spellbook and bring it back to the Pharoah or keep it for themselves or some other nonsense asher or regi might light it on fire
