Factions The South Maladon Company The South Maladon Company, or to give it it's full name; The Honorable Company of Merchants of Haven Trading into Southern Maladon, is a recent entry to the companies of Haven and of a rather different nature to it's more militant peers. Formed by some of the city's merchant houses, guilds and shipping concerns and given a charter by the Seneschal it's main purpose is to enrich the city and the wider empire by exploiting the resources of Maladon and engaging in beneficial trade where possible with the people that live there, particularly the dwarves of Khulican. With such a wide range of interests and activities the Company hires from a diverse pool of talents, happy to find a place for almost any one who shows some skill and competence. Though due to their mercantile nature only those with wealth and influence are likely to be able to get far in the organisation. Violence is generally frowned upon unless employed in defense or if it's believed nessecary to further the company's interests. Rather than a Captain the company is lead by a Governor and it's Governor is currently Lord Garvey Pentos, whose minor noblity and vast wealth made him an obvious choice. The Governor however delegates much of the actual running of the company to subordinates. The South Maladon Company sites its head-quarters and chapter-house in a warehouse complex on Gallat Street.
