RP; Doctor Kameha

Calsar 10th, Year 986 Iloa Kameha, towering above the ordinary folk, nimbly powers his bulk along the streets of Haven as he makes his way south towards the Red Dragon's chapter house parting the crowds like a graceful barge passing through flock of ducks. The ernormous wickedly tipped glaive he carries probably helps. His exoticly featured face wears a grimace of annoyance and occaisionally his voice gripes to himself "bloody stupid weather... who in their right mind would live in a place that freezes..." Finally at his destination he enters the Red Dragon Inn & Tavern, nodding to the men and women within respectfully. "Excuse me, I am sorry to disturb your rests. I am hoping to find Master Trebius, I have been told he is a great healer and I wish to improve my skill."

The Red Dragon Inn looks less like a alehouse than any tavern you have ever see. The windows have been replaced with stained glass ans the courtyard is made of white gravel that has been carefully sculpted into strange patterns. Over the entrance hang two banners; one of the Red Dragons and the Shield emblazon of Calenn. As you enter you are required to wash and remove your shoes and you enter the main area; which proves to be floored with ornate wood set in patterns. The smell of incense hangs in the air and behind some double doors comes the sound of men sparring with wooden weapons. The Knight your addressed now regards you with an expression that is Greetings Citizen! Master Trebuis is within; you have come to seek tutelage?Go in.(indicates a chamber across the way) IIloa is treated to the sight of an old and austere looking man gliding about a long tiled stone chamber. On a trestle table ranged before him are many mortars and pestles from which fragrant odors are wafting. He looks up as you enter from under craggy eyebrows white as snow Pass me that will you he rasps in a nasal tone.
Iloa leans his polearm against the side of the door, carefully so as not to fall on anyone and then looks to the old master working among his accoutrements. He goes to the item he best believes Trebius desires and brings it forward, cautious not to spill or damage it. " The master Trebius? " he intones placing the item down carefully.

Yes young man; what can I do for you?
Iloa grinds his teeth and grunts thoughtfully, spreading his palms on the long table and lowering himself enough to be at eye level for the wizened old master. "A good man died recently, you might have heard Horcus of Rathaka. I had power to prevent it, as a cleric I am blessed with a small portion of my creator's power. Yet I used all of that power trying to destroy an evil. I do not regret that, it was a foul perversion of life and it might still linger had I not. It was nessecary. If I had half the skill you are said to posses however, I might have been able to do both that day. So I wish to learn your arts and improve my skills. I am not stranger to this, I studied anatomy and some apothecary during my training, so we do not need to start from the scratch. I have much money so payment for your time is not an issue to me. Will you accept?"

Hmm; a worthy goal. I will train you Iloa of the Serpent Isles, for news of your deeds has reached my ears. Unless of course there are two men of your build and odd dress running around Haven that is? Now let's begin. How would you treat an abcess................
After many hours under the Master Trebius' tuteledge Iloa steps out of the chambers, lighter in gold but heavier in knowledge(and notes) and winds his way out of the Red Dragon Inn, pausing in the courtyard to admire the intricate patterns woven in the gravel, the medium reminding him of the art decorating the villages and towns of his homeland. Late in the evening, returning to the familiar halls and comforts of the Tipsy Mermaid the Cleric of Storms takes a table by the fire in the taproom. Reviewing the days lessons over his meal of hot soup, idly dropping scraps to the lamb. His bowl is soon empty "Hmph. Adolpho, is there more food? Something more substantial than soup maybe?"

Adolfo looks taken aback and says And what is wrong with my Wife's soup Master Kameha? As it happens one of our patrols spitted a boar that had been menacing livestock on the edge of the Bonewood and it is most delicious now that I have roasted it over the fire. Where have you been these past few weeks by the way; and why have some of your fingers got stained green? Learning to write or something?
"There is nothing at all wrong with your wife's soup. For soup it is excellent I'm sure. However it is still soup, that is, food flavoured water. Roasted boar, now that sounds like food! I shall also pretend that you did not accuse me of illiteracy, I have been at the Red Dragon. They have a master there called Trebius, he heals without magic, without the aid of gods and it is far more than field triage. Hopefully, no more Horcuses will die on my watch."
For a moment after mentioning Horcus Iloa is silent then . "Speaking of that, Adolpho, I would value your opinion. I want some custom work done on Makani" he nods to the carved white-wood glaive resting against the wall. "Who is the best weapon smith?"

Hmm; no contest there. The greatest smith in Maladon now travels with the Imperial Army. He is an old Angkaran Dwarf called Tostig Hammerhand and there is no greater smith; or so they say.
"Hmm, and you think this man would take my commision?"

Mayhap; him and his men are camped near Downgarth. I hear there is quite a town forming down there. The Emperor has gifted it to the Galvardi.. not sure that is such a good idea, as they are wily and will play both sides in the coming war. All they want is power I fear.
" When my Grandfather was High King of all the Serpent Isles, before Tawhirimatea was stolen from us, he had a saying. 'Your allies keep close, your enemies - keep them closer'. By giving these Galvardi land, they have will a stake in his success and if they work both sides, that is perhaps better than working only the wrong side, yes? Anyway. Tomorrow I shall set off for this Downgarth and see if i can find Hammerhand. "
