Drag Characters from Tab to Page

I was wondering if there could be a way to just drag and drop characters from the Character/Handout page over to the map. It'd make it much easier to populate new maps with commonly used characters. It'd also be nice to be able to drag a handout over to the map to show to everyone quickly. Just some thoughts.
You could assign a particular token to a Character in the journal... but would there be a way for information in the token (bar info, GM notes etc) to be saved to that character token or would everything have to be re-entered each time that token is dropped onto a page?
Even when you assign the token in the character journal, if you try to just drag/drop it onto a map it just tries to download the token rather than adding it to the map. It'd be real nice if you could have a persistent token for the characters that would update as you change the fields on the maps, actually. Have them stored in the journal and able to be dragged/dropped/updated on the fly.
You can already assign an 'avatar' and my party are just using their the tokens at the moment anyway... Maybe an option to enter basic character stats (the same layout as on the 'edit token' menu, say) and then have a button or an option to 'add character to table' ? The current system of just copying/pasting characters from table to table is working though so I don't think Riley would make this a priority unless it was a very quick fix.
Agreed. This is one of the first things I tried to do (dragging a character avatar as a token on to the map).
