Allow players to change their character tokens

It would be really nice if players could bring their own character sheets to the game; however, failing that, once I create a character sheet and give it to them, It would be nice if they could set the avatar icon along with the bio.
+1 to this! I know my GM doesn't like having to do all of my grunt work for me :P

There is a bug for now that allows players to drop their avatar picture into the sheet. I know other people have done it and I have done it also. Just drag and drop your picture on the sheet while in edit mode and it will show up after you save the sheet.
When I do that it takes me out of the virtual table top and opens my picture in the browser. =/

You have it on your computer? the file itself not a url. If and that is a big IF they didn't close that loophole recently then you should be able to drag and drop the graphic file into your character sheet, not the journal but the sheet that is in the top section of the handouts and stuff. Strange that it just opened it in your browser instead of the sheet.
Yeah, they must have closed it. I have the picture saved on my computer, and I'm dragging and dropping to the actual character sheet edit screen where it says Avatar. Just takes me to a different window with just that picture and the URL has the local path to the picture. " file:///C:/Users/Joe/Desktop/Avatar.jpg "

It has not been fixed. I just tested it. To do this I edit the character sheet, grab an image from the desktop and drag it to immediately below the word 'avatar', - Gauss

Being able to add our own avatars is nice but being able to add our own tokens would be even better. Kind of like when you would go to a tabletop game with your own mini. Of course the GM should probably be able to prevent that as well if he wanted to (beyond the obvious 'if you change your token I'll boot you').

You could drag your own token on to the map and the gm can add the mini to the sheet. the gm can link the stats from sheet to the token prior to assigning to the sheet. probably take 30 seconds for the gm.
I got it to work! I was dragging it too high!

Are you sure about that? For one thing, as a player I don't have access to my art gallery. Would I have to be dragging and dropping the token from my computer? For another thing, allowing players to throw their own tokens onto a map sounds like a pretty serious bug. Changing the token that represents your character is one thing. If people are able to throw up dozens of tokens onto a map and there's no way to prevent it short of booting them that sounds like a very bad thing.

Never thought of that aspect. I just assumed you could. Makes me wonder about that now.

A work around would be posting your token in the campaign forum and the gm copies it to his computer then uploads it. It is a long way but it still gets you your token.
I would like to second this. I like to give my players a lot more control than roll20 allows at this juncture. Letting players change their own profile images/tokens would be nice, and even an option (note: option, I know some people wouldn't want this feature) to let them put tokens on the map and link them to their journal would be nice.
