Campaign doesn't load (stuck on loading screen)

Problem has started occurring Sat last weekend (Jul 30th). Only one of my campaigns is affected. When I click "load campaign" I get the same screen as in this thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1661/slug%7D

Interesting thing is, when I load a different campaign it works fine. Right after that I can successfully start the affected one. It will only work for a short time, however. Then the campaign freezes and refuses to load again until I start a different campaign to reset the entire process. Needless to say, this gets quite tedious even over a game of, say, 2-3 hours.

Since not all my campaigns are affected and the problem can be fixed short-term for a while, I don't think the cause/solution is the same one as in the thread linked above. Any help with the issue would be appreciated.

Addendum: Just tried to create a new campaign. Still having issues, albeit different ones: sidebar on the right and main screen "flicker" (switch back between regular display and solid black). Still no issues with any of the other already created campaigns.

Addendum 2: Symptoms from "Addendum" also appear in old campaigns now, but ONLY after the originally affected campaign has been loaded at least once. Furthermore, the issue does not persist as it does with the aforementioned and can be fixed by a cache cleanup or system restart. If the originally affected campaign is not loaded, any other campaign works just fine.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the site.

Could you please carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues?

What's most important here, however, is Step 4, most specifically the console log. If steps 1 and/or 2 don't fix your issue (and I suspect they won't, but please do try them first!), a series of console logs:
  • The first campaign that started acting up with the log itself starting from you being in 'My Games' and picking the campaign in question through to when no more text appears in the log;
  • A console log from your 'new' test campaign, when you have the flickering going on (again, starting from the 'My Games' page and ending after you've had some flicker, but waiting for the log to stop creating text)
  • Any other situations that display behavior you feel is relevant and has not been captured by the first two logs.

Also, please include in your report the campaign details page for each of your misbehaving games, noting which one isyour original misbehaving game.  Campaign detail page URLs have the format of https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/...   --  Please do not include a join link, the Devs just need the details page :)

Thank you for your assistance in helping us to help you!
Hello GenKitty,

thank you for your timely response! Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue today, although I am experiencing slowdown using firefox. Disabling addons or antivirus does not seem to fix the issue. I did, however, install Chrome and everything seems to be working fine there.

Guess I'll be switching web browsers then. No further activity required. Thanks again. I promise to reference the guide first next time. ;)

Regards

Sebastian
