[LFG][5E] 2 Semi-Experienced players looking to set up a long term game to start in about a month

Myself and a friend have been playing D&D on and off for the past 4 years, we both have plenty of experience as a PC, and he has some experience DMing. We have played Pathfinder, 4E and 5E however we would much prefer to find a group to play 5E with. Optimally we would be looking for a DM, and 1-2 more players to play preferably a homebrew type semi-open/open world game, of which would be starting in roughly a month, this can give everyone time to get to know eachother, build a compatible party with eachother, and giving the DM time to understand his players and prepare however he feels fit, and allows my friends current time constraints to be lifted, a schedule can be worked out at that point and hopefully we can begin a solid long-term campaign with a group of fun, but semi-serious individuals that can maturely commit to the agreed-upon schedule. If absolutely necessary my friend would be able to DM, but due to him having done so for the last two campaigns we have played, I figured it would be a nice break for him to play a PC again. A communications software such as Skype or Discord is absolutely necessary in order to play and discuss details out of game. Considering a schedule cannot be confirmed just yet, it would be preferable if you had somewhat flexible time constraints, however a free Friday/Saturday slot is always a safe bet. If anybody would like to seriously commit to a long term campaign and prepare for one to begin in roughly a month, as either a player or a DM, let me know and we can talk further about it. Thanks! [UPDATE] So after a detailed discussion with TheTyeGuy, we have decided to go ahead with his campaign in which he shall be DMing.&nbsp; Now that this has been clarified, we can start gathering a party, since we now know what we shall be looking for, and are able to provide potential PCs with what kind of game they will be committing to. TheTyeGuy has been great and put some time into a couple of documents, of which will detail what he expects from the party members, and a brief outline of the setting of the campaign. If you guys do get something started up I would be interested. &nbsp;I am a player looking to join in on a longterm campaign. &nbsp;I have a couple characters with long backstories that lend themselves pretty well to worldbuilding, but are vague enough that they can fit into most existing worlds.

I have been setting up a world for the last few months and have been dying to play it. I'm a moderately experienced DM who would be more than willing to on just about any day. I work mornings, so any afternoon would be good anywhere around 5-6pm to about 10-ish EST. (America, Indiana timezone.)

Assuming I can DM, I'd be up for a game of up to 5 (6 if necessary, but only if you stay on your best behavior). I don't want to get ahead of myself, but should we share emails or anything? I'd prefer if this is a successful setup that the game can go on for a pretty decent amount of time on at least a mostly-regular schedule. Fridays and Saturdays are good most weeks, though there will be a few weeks in the Late October early November area that won't be as easy. Afterwards is fine, however. I'd prefer starting levels 1 or 2.

I'm up for it. I've not played a great deal of 5e, but it seems like it's easier to learn than Pathfinder, 3.5 or 4th edition D&D. -- You know, assuming you still have the room. I'll be running my own campaign, but the times I'll be running it are sort of up in the air. Let me know if I can join in or not, I may have one or two characters already in mind.

I'm on EST timezone, so any time from 5-10:30pm would be ok with me on either of those days, since I work mornings. I'd prefer to go every week, but I understand scheduling.
