Journal Notes 8/9 On the journey home I decided to dip in to some of the flasks I had acquired while in that horrible place. Sadly being a troll for all that time seems to have raised my tolerance as I downed flask after flask with no effect. That is until I had some sudden urge pulling me. It was almost as if I was being drug along by puppet strings. I had an inkling that wherever I was headed would be full of fortune. The others followed me until we were inside what seems to be a burrowed entrance to some underground fortress long forgotten. Of course with any underground fortress it was inhabited with guardians or lurkers of some sort. What I didn't expect was that these damn doors would be our toughest opponents!
Tuesday Xrogeb Irreparably rude half orcs, half dogs, half goats, no prey worthy of speaking of. Accused of being a murderer, a thief by the very same people that are half food already. They should be happy I don’t complete my needed hunt, Dogmeat and I hunger. At least the half crow man promises burnt meat at the tavern, and a bivouac won’t be needed. Halfcrow’s speech is surprisingly entrancing, but best of all it brought plump fresh meat without the taint of burning and herbs. Halfcrow and halfgoat don’t approve, and apparently the woods don’t either as pain radiates with a crossbow bolt sinking into my precious, tender flesh. Worse of all the surprisingly well dressed rabbit escapes even after a brutal strike from halfdog. A quick run down on dogmeat breaks down this assassin, although I stay my weapon before finishing him off. Guards in the town would frown on killing the humanoids, and I will not be run out of yet another one. Halfcrow did heal me, so I won’t chase down the bloody rabbit despite how obviously the trail of ichor leads straight to the burrow. I assemble my half team and drag half-dog-half-lizard man to turn into human’s law. Burnt flesh better be worth it.
Journal introduction to Baart Baart is a delightful character with a spring in his step and smile on his face. Calming tunes, mantras and poems of legends. He started off as just a happy satyr living and letting those live, experiencing the luxuries and finer things of life, but too much perfection leads to disbelief (the 1st attempt of the matrix). His village was a delusion, falsified, everything he knew was just... wrong. An enclave of twisted wizards were controlling his environment and monitoring the village. He was lucky enough to see through the veil, and he was granted his freedom. He wanders the earth looking for items strong enough to aid him in bringing down the veil of lies shadowing his former comrades. A tired looking Goat-man clops into the common room, his hooves leaving small scratches on the floor as he drags himself across the tavern. Despite the disheveled look and sadness in his eyes, there was a gleaming smile sitting across his face. He walked up to the bar and said. "Clear the stage 'cause the real show is about to begin"
the Newfound Party fights their way through the dungeon against Dark Shadow Monsters. but ends up fleeing............

Great journals, Players. I like the different nicknames for fellow-PC's that the Goblin Xrogeb and the Satyr Baart the Half-Ogre Grubar each employ. Heads up for this Tuesday session, August 23: a Guest PC! Please Welcome Alex (Ziechael) , a fellow Mod of Roll20, playing as a one-shot Guest PC today! He has not played AD&D 2E for a few years, but has the books, and is a regular Roll20 gamer. Drat-Farfang(Alex) a Flind Thief Rogue Acrobat around Level Thief 6 with Strength 16 (can carry 70 lbs.), Dex 16, Con 16, Int 12, Wis 10, Charisma 11. Height 5'11". Age 20. AAC 15. Drat is a Flind Acrobat with great Climb Walls, Pick Pockets, silent movement, and acrobatics / tumbling / jumps. Drat-Farfang(Alex): A slender humanoid slinks into view. Lithe and rangy like a gnoll but much shorter you realise that this being must be a flind, albeit, not as stocky as his kin usually are. His bestial features are canine in form although the glint of intelligence belies this beings true sentience. Bedecked in silks of all colours Drat is obviously a showflind of sorts, his graceful movements suggesting some kind of circus background. Beneath the gaudy fabric the edges of lightweight padded armour can be seen, other than these items of clothing the flind is otherwise unadorned with the normal trappings of civilization such as boots. Tuesday Party Outlook: We return to our cliff-place in the latest Dungeons of Webcamparrot . The Flind Acrobat (Guest PC) described above comes to join the party, and we'll see what happens from there today in the continuation of AD&D 2E Adventures In A Homebrew World! Likely attendance in the party, Airen(Chris) Bullywug Conjurer (R.I.P. Rhubarb his Familiar Faerie Dragon who died from electricity) Torvald(Solid) Dwarf Fighter Baradin(Solid) Cavalier Swargen(Paul) Norseman Priest of Thor Grubar(Paul) Half-Ogre Warrior Stonemaw(Paul) Wardog Cha'kavi(Erik) Veteran Fighter Valkenhayn(Cat) Rakasta Invoker Olamos(Bob2) Centaur Druid Bill Jim (Webcamparrot NPC / can be recruited to become a henchman) Rockman Drat-Farfang(Alex) Flind Acrobat By the numbers, 4 Warriors: Torvald, Baradin, Grubar, Chakavi 4 Animals DNA: Frogs, Dogs, Cats, Horses. 3 Humans: Swargen, Baradin, Chakavi. 2 Mages: Airen, Valkenhayn. 2 Priests: Olamos Druid, Swagen of Thor 1 Rogue: Drat
Journal Notes 8/16 We finally found a way past the cursed door. The effects of the potion continued to pull me deeper in to this place. Suddenly more undead showed themselves and then a flash of lightning. Instantly my urge to go deeper was replaced by a flood of emotions - shock, sadness, rage. I could feel it. It was as if an invisible limb had been ripped from my body by a giant. I knew instantly what this meant. I felt the connection severed. No magic that I possessed could reverse this... and If I were to use necromancy to bring him back it would not be Rhubarb... it would be something else. A humble reminder that our existence is short... and can be shortened at any moment. Sulking here will do me no good. I must trudge forward in this place if only to distract me from the reality that Rhubarb is no more.

Excerpt from the journal of Drat Farfang dated 23/08/2016 Upon one of my many journeys out in the wilds I happened upon a fine steed tethered outside an old mine entrance, ever the curious Flind I thought to myself 'Drat, whomsoever owns such a fine animal likely has a lot of money they don't need... maybe you should relieve them of some?' and with that thought in mind I set off into the tunnels. Many yards and many rooms of defeated foes later I happened upon a party of adventurers journeying through the old mine, so intent on their own course I managed to follow at a distance for a while before they fell prey to a denizen of the caves and I felt like I should act! In attempting to lend aid I first failed to climb a pile of rocks... most embarrassing... and then, as the ultimate introduction, I accidentally shot one of the adventurers! Not a great way to get close to my potential marks. With many apologies and much contrition it seemed that they would allow my company, eagerly I take the lead to scout ahead for them only to find a bloody beholder! A BEHOLDER!! Unbelievable, yesterday I was performing the high wire for a group of country bumpkins and now I'm leading a group of adventurers into battle against a damned Eye Tyrant!!! Cunningly staying out of the creatures reach I am instrumental in defeating the beast, further endearing me to the group I'm sure. In the subsequent jubilation following the battle I am even able to alleviate a couple of the group of some of their hard earned treasure, how kind of them. Suffice to say, this place is way too dangerous a life for me and I leave the fools to their folly... besides there is that horse with full saddlebags out front to lighten the load of...

Journal Notes 8/23 It is still hard to admit it... Rhubarb is gone. The more we traverse in to this damned place the more I want to avenge his death. Perhaps this dragon was responsible for creating that... "thing" that killed Rhubarb. Fisher senses a great evil coming from it and seems somewhat... afraid. I have never sensed his fear before. Perhaps we are in over our heads this time. Only one way to find out.
Translation: By Moradin! - Eye Tyrant! - Legendary beast... Beware! - Many eyed gaze - Great central eye... Emitted anti-magic! - Enchantments - Nullified! Thankful - Knight - Cleaved in twain...

Baradin's Journal - Late Summer By the gods! It's been a whirlwind adventure! The threat of Krimba-Hai is no more. The traitor Lord Harlepen is slain and buried. Ota-Sura has passed and Honshar is saved! Now we delve into a long forgotten crypt in search of treasure... Guided by Airen the bullywug conjurer. So far... We've only found hordes of skeletal undead. Each led by a sinister zombie. (Which I've been told, is the result of powerful necromantic magic!) A hideous acid spitting giant slug... And a multi-eyed floating orb creature that shoots beams of energy... Oh don't forget the rock monsters! If that wasn't bad enough... We got a friendly but mentally challenged stone golem following us around... And indecipherable riddles... (That's the last time I drink anything the dwarf gives me!) Much risk... Little treasure... At least I got to kill the "Beholder" with my new two-handed sword... (Baradin stops writing and joins the rest of the party looking into the next room) Great! (sarcastically)... A skeletal dragon blocks the next set of doors.... Most likely it will come to life and attempt to eat us... Whose bright idea was it to come here again??

Sizi Journal for 9/1/2016 Well, this trip to Portlandio has so far been a terrible idea. Forced to take refuge outside of the gate after being denied entry, my meals spooked by the presence of these damn birds, and what i think was a goblin, possibly a kobold...... I finally caught site of a man that looked to be a bird entering the caves i heard rumors of being an "underground" entrance to the city. Then, of all things, an ELF in finer armor than my own tries to sneak up on me, saying he is a member of the guard! Damn, i thought this entrance a secret, how did he find me? Then, to top it off, we find the Man-Bird, who seems to be a mage or priest, and a goblin, cowering in fear of some mere Ogrillons.... who showed no respect at all for a warrior of Blood Axe Company? Stole from Sizi? Their blood has fed the earth, and the journey for Gold and Gems continues, as long as this group continues to remain profitable and capable, that is......

WickedWayz . said: i would like to throw out there and ask everyone to vote on my image what one do you all like better the top one A or the bottom one B I vote "B", to me it conveys more of the trickster figure look from mythology/cultures. Version "A" is good too, and looks more advanced (more steampunk). You could also use both (over time) and declare that you evolve & change masks -- for some reason, at some point, according to adventures and events or according to level. Either way, it's an awesome portrait pic and interpretation of an ONI as a masked-figure PC type. Thanks for all the recent journals, Players!
This letter would be found in Torvald's pack. The Envelope on the outside would have a Pentagram with a V in the middle of it. It says. "I am not done with the Challengers. However, there are things in my life that currently bug me that I must use my skills of the Arcane and my ability to research to fix. I will return to you retaining my true age and gaining more power. I currently would only be a liability to the Challengers of Destiny while I am distracted with this issue. While we paid the price for our good deeds as Orks, I plan to stop sulking about it and do something about it. Keep my room as it is at Inn, for I shall return to it in due time. I don't expect to be gone that long, and once I return my mind will be free and clear and I shall be ready to help the Challengers of Destiny again as I have before, as I am not willing to truly give up on my friends in this strange land. Stay Safe, Valkenhayn Grayson.

(i hope i didnt forget anyone) New Tuesday Group Photo opp...................Say CHEESE
Journal Notes 9/6 As we encroached upon the undead beast we were surprised by another group of adventurers who became lost looking for Portlandio. Apparently these caverns seem to be connected to another tunnel system. Although I would usually be weary of meeting such a group down here I know that it will take everything we've got to defeat this dragon... and maybe even then it won't be enough. Buried in the nearby rubble also laid one of our former comrades, Jaxon, a priest of Zeus. Together we made our move. Just being in the vicinity of this creature was awing. Its presence was cold, dark, and suppressing. My Torvald was brave. He charged in with such grace and I couldn't help but notice his beard glistening from the reflection of his axe. My spells fizzled one after another upon this magical being, but with each swing of Torvald's axe I could see it writhe in pain. Torvald, my Torvald, almost killed this dragon single handed. My champion. With one final blow what was once a formidable foe turned in to a simple pile of bones. It's so cute seeing Torvald taunt and insult his enemies after they have been slain. The little bit of cheek I can see through his magnificent beard turns to a wonderful crimson. Once the dragon was slain I felt compelled more so than ever to continue in to the next room. In the middle of this room was a throne carved of stone - "Here lies the final resting place of Adeloc." I had an inclination that there was more to this room and began looking for a secret passageway. While doing so a mass of corpses appeared out of no where, and upon the throne appeared what seemed to be what was left of Adeloc's physical form. According to Bill Jim Adeloc was a powerful wizard. After speaking to Adeloc himself he seems to believe that he has ascended to some higher existence although he would not tell us what that was. He offered us his treasures as he has no need for things of this world any more, and he proved his power by granting Torvald even greater strength. Being compelled still by the potion I consumed I pressed forward in to the following room and opened the first coffer. Inside lay several gold plates of great value, and a magnificent red gem that radiated powerful magic. Upon picking it up I could sense it's magic to be unstable... and then I was distracted by something moving about in one of my bags. After opening my bag I was speechless. The corpse of my companion, Rhubarb, was animated! His flesh was still charred, but he was moving around just as lively as ever. Uncharacteristically he was attracted to the treasures and helped himself to more than he could carry. He also was speaking so that everyone could hear him.. something he never did before. I offered him his favorite fruit, and he seemed to pull back in disgust. Deep down I know something is not right, but I can't help just wanting to keep him close.
Great pictures guys!
The second picture is a screen grab from skyrim just noticed that's cool

Baradin's Journal - Late Summer Dear gods! That creature was a beast to dispatch... I wish that I could claim to have helped. But it was a dismal showing on my part. I didn't even land a single blow on the thing! My first swing couldn't even pierce its bony hide... Then I was paralyzed by its deadly gaze! Even worse, was the fiend's deadly gaseous breath... A noxious burning mist. Thankfully the dwarf kept the creature busy... And don't even get me started on the harebrained scheme I joined the Frog on... That was a big mistake! Riding a giant black fly... At least I was knocked unconscious by the fall... Could've been a whole lot worse... This deathtrap sure wasn't worth the time or effort to explore...
