Drag select barely works.

So the title of the post explains itself, but I'll expand on it. I like Roll20 a lot, but *hate* the drag select mechanic. I try to drag select a single object (such as a table or chair), and end up selecting the entire room, even though the selection box is nowhere near the walls. I'm not the only person who has this problem either, two other people I know have the exact same problem as well, and all three of of us use different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer). So unless I'm missing something (and I don't think I am), I'm forced to conclude that the problem is on the software's side. I'm attaching an image that should hopefully demonstrate what I mean .
Thanks for letting us know. I think this is being caused by the select tool not honoring the fact that drawings have transparent fill when you do mass-select. I'll definitely look into it.
Just curious, but why are you drawing map elements like walls, doors, and such on the token layer? That too would solve part of your problem.

Just curious why do you drag select when you could just (I think) ctrl select each token? I'm assuming you knew about it, if you didn't give it a try and see if that helps you select your tokens selectively and I'm reasonably sure it is the control button and left click on the tokens. Just hold the control button down till you clicked on all you tokens.

Snooglebum , as Honeybadger mentioned, your walls should be on the map layer. Here is how you can move them to the map layer: select the walls, right click, and send them to the map layer. While this will not fix the bug itself it will resolve the issue you are having. - Gauss
Honeybadger - well, even when things are on the right layers, there's still the problem of trying to select a tiny little bed image on the map layer and getting the whole room, I just moved the tokens to the map layer to demonstrate the problem. Metroknight - I do sometimes, but drag select would be a much preferable method, for the most part. Besides, if there's a feature, it might as well work. Gauss - I do normally separate them, I just put them in the same layer to demonstrate. The same problem occurs with multiple things on the map layer.
I asked the OP to submit this bug report after I saw him discussing it on Facebook, so while workarounds are nice it is a bug that we intend to fix :-)
