I live on the east coast of the US and I am looking to find a game of Shadowrun 5th I can join up with. I am a long time player familiar with 4th edition, but as the game has moved on to 5th edition I think its best I adapt to the changing times as well. As I have not played the new system I will likely need a little help getting the hang of it. A little about me, as a player. I am an older gamer and I prefer groups of more mature age ( mid to late 20s and up ). I prefer games that focus on roleplay over who has the most damage output with their custom gun. I like games that the players and the GMs work together to make the setting work. If the GM says, "We're going to play sprawl gangers in Detroit," I like to know the other players are not going to be saying, "My sprawl ganger is a true drake that is on the run from immortal elves," or whatever. I guess I am just saying that I like games to be somewhat 'normal' and not out there in left field. Also knowing that there is something like 20 players to a GM on roll20, please do not post unless you are a GM looking for players. Once a GM has chimed in then it would be good to sound off that you too are interested in a game. I sometimes wonder if GMs look at posts that have 10 replies and say, "Well they must have found someone," and move on to the next thread. Thank you for taking the time to read the post.
