Back home..

After being shamed by the fake 'fortune teller', Elly leaves the tent and slips away.  She passes the religious tents... the tents with the strange symbol... the gold dragons.  She catches glimpses of her companions and other citizens and visitors of Lerton, there at the festival with their family and friends, and realizes how alone she feels.  She decides to walk back to the tower, using the time to think. Along the way, she considered using her other awakening crystal on Donut so that she has someone to talk to, but decides against it because she doesn't know if she wants to hear what he actually thinks of her.  She arrives at the tower and only mildly acknowledges any of the staff that might speak to her, scooping up Donut and taking him to her room, where she closes and locks the door before lying on her bed with her puppy. "Maybe I should go home," she says softly to Donut, who is trying his best to lick her hand as she pets him.  Elly's eyes fill with tears and she blinks a few times, causing them to run down her cheeks.  "I helped do what Sebastian asked me to do.  I helped rescue Draxx.  Maybe that was supposed to be it for me.  Maybe I'm supposed to go home now.  Maybe this is all I'm ever supposed to be." She glances over at the tower window, her room being near the very top of the tower and she imagines how far of a drop it actually is.  "Maybe they wouldn't even miss me."
Aww, poor Elly, don't jump! Things have a way of working out, even if it's not the way you planned. For the record, I place all blame on John for this situation. Politcs and Religion are a sure fire way to screw up relationships, much less making it the continual conflict focus point with a zealot during the dating phase.
<3  She will be okay, I think!  Just a rough patch and sad Elly makes me sad lol
