Links and Rollable Tables

I apologize if this is actually a simple issue - I've been looking and looking and can't seem to find an answer anywhere else, so I thought I'd try the community. I already know it is possible to insert linked text in the chat window using the formula [LinkedText](URL), but I'm wondering if it is possible to have linked text appear when rolling from a table. I thought if I just inserted the formula in as an item in the table and then used an inline roll that it would appear in chat properly, but it apparently does not. Rollable tables just pastes the entire text into the chat window. So here's a particularly silly example: Let's say I have a table of possible scenes or events behind a door. One of those items is an Oracle that will answer any question. But as a gag, I've hyperlinked the oracle to just go to Google. Or maybe AskJeeves, if I really want to make it amusing. So I want to use a macro to roll the table for a possible outcome, and in one of those outcomes, I'd like to display linked text in the chat window. Is this possible to do at all with a Plus subscription? Or would this be something that one needs the API and a Pro account to accomplish?

This is something you'd need an API script to accomplish directly.  There might be some hack you could use to get links from a table, but I'm not aware of any.

I suspected as much, but I've been regularly impressed by the ingenuity of this community so thought I'd check to see if anybody had a solution. Thanks!

Yeah, that's why I allow the possibility.  Silvyre and Brian in particular can come up with the most clever and insane ways of getting things done!  =D

Here's one possibility: Head over to TinyURL. Shorten each of your links, giving each a custom alias that differs by a number. e.g.&nbsp;LeeboZeebo1, LeeboZeebo2, etc. Roll for a link using something like [Generate](!&amp;#13; &amp;amp;#1; [Link](<a href="http://tinyurl.com/LeeboZeebo[[" rel="nofollow">http://tinyurl.com/LeeboZeebo[[</a> [[1d6]] ]]&amp;#41;)
