uploading maps

hi im currently having a issue uploading my own map its saved as a png file but it just doesnt start uploading when i select it any ideas or help would be appreciated! also does anyone know what size the grid is on roll20?
i have also tried changing the image to a jpeg instead of png but the same result doesnt even start uploading

Hi John, before we go down the whole troubleshoot 'turn it off and on again' route; what size is the file you are trying to upload and how full is your personal storage?
Free users are limited to uploading files that are 5mb or smaller, your quota allowance can be found on your account page on the right hand side.

As for the grid, the standard Roll20 grid is 70x70 pixels.
yeah i just realised before reading this it was the file size >_<
i was using pyromancer to make the map but the file size is too big any suggestions for an alternative?

Open it in gimp (any photo program) and work on reducing it to a manageable size or cutting it into smaller pieces then upload the pieces and lay them down in the map area to be rearrange to work. Those are the two most common suggestions that are given to solve the problem.
