Animated GIFs would be super cool to include as it could accomplish a variety of goals:
-Could be used on map tiles to show movement e.g. flowing lava, a swirling portal to another dimension or even create puzzles that require players to dodge objects in real time in maps (wall blades etc.)
-NPC tokens could perform some sort of repeated action e.g. a man trying to pull a sword from a stone and failing
-There could be a layer of animated fog or some other particle effect above the map layer
-Tokens in general could be more interesting and it would also open up the potential for animators to show interest in producing content for Roll20
I think there is a lot of versatility and creativity that could be had here,
hope you all have a great day and thanks for reading!
