Sprocket Springhouse : Haveing returned to Haven i would decline part in Dux's judgement of Fletcher, as i have more urgent business to attend to. I would go to the Red Dragon Brigade to look for Luca's body to make sure he got a propper burial.
You would find the red dragon brigade on the southside of haven and the guards there looking at you. "Say, who do you seek?"

Sprocket would look up at the guards with sorrow on his face. " I seek my friend Luca, he (pause) fell in the caverns of Makra. His body would have been sent here. I wish to attend his burial ceremony "
The Guard looks down at you... "A noble request, though the burial is not here but on the graveyard. He was a friend of yours, eh? What is your name, if I may ask?"

" s..Sprocket Springhouse, But Luca would'v adressed me as DogNutz, its *sigh* a loong story".  Sprocket would muster a feint smile as he thought back at the fun memory. " You wouldn't  happen to know when he is to be buried would you?"
Ironside the Elf would tell every person of the party he is able to find the following : " I've heard there is a funeral house in town called Rememberance. It is ran by a fellow called Ferhem, a place built just for this occasion, to organize memorials, burials and other services to remember the fallen. If someone took the time to create such a service we should definitely use it. Even though I wasn't there when Luca fell in battle, I've known him to be an interesting characther worth to be remembered. He was mighty good with that gladius of his as well."
"Hm is that so?"   The guard tells you to wait and comes back and you can see Valtyr the non handed standing behind him. "Valtyr, can you confirm that you know this man as DogNutz as mentioned in Luca Scipio Lupus' will?" And with that he looks at Valtyr and Sprocket. "Also Valtyr and Dux have been tasked with partly organising the funeral since they were the last of our company to my knowledge to have adventured with Luca." If Valtyr identifies CogNutz, Sprocket would be invited in and presented the will and handed some gold and shown the available remains of Luca. OOC:  The service is usually held a few days after the body returns to avoid decomposing a.s.o. You might choose to request the service of Remembrance and Ferhem, though usually a standard burial is given on the graveyard on the maladon mainland outside of haven.
Vâltyr glares at CogNutz "I am afraid to say i have never seen the likeeness of this ever. The closest would be Gabbi, but despite beeing about the same size she did not look like something out of a madmans fever dreams. In fact i cannot even be sure this is not some charm that somehow led to Luca's downfall." Vâltyr squats down to CogNutz level and stares him straight in the eyes. "Tell me wierd one, how did my brother in arms die, and why was six other adventurers completely helpless in preventing him meeting such a fate?!" Standing back up he looks at the guard. "I am afraid i cannot confirm or deny anything, but to my knowledge Dux was on this same disaster they called an expedition, maybe he knows." Then looks back at CogNutz, awaiting an answer.
The guard looks at both at you and then calls for Dux.
CogNutz would squirmed a little under Valtyrs Gaze and tell him of the darkness that had engulfed Luca, explaining that he was powerless to aid him. Showing Valtyr his sharpend spanner and wrench to emphasize the point. And then, CogNutz would open a spigot on his backpack, and crackling sparks would fly out to land in CogNutz hand, materializing into Lucas Silver Gladius. " This.. This you would recognize.." and carefully hand it to Valtyr.
Dux walkes over slowly. "I can confirm that they seemed to know one another, to what extent I don't really know, but yes, Luca introduced this Gnome to me as CogNut..." Dux places his hand on CogNutz head, ".. and we were unable to save him from his foolhardy fate. No-one runs into danger alone and comes back. The darkness swallowed his light forever, and he can no longer shine in favour of the Empire. Had I known then what I know now of these Darkmantles we probably could have done more. But alas, the will of the gods was not in Luca's favour." Dux' hand drops from CogNutz head, as he looks over to the guard. "Where can I drop of the body until the funeral? I have training and prayer to do, if I am to make sure no-one else dies around me. This, truly, is what the gods will of me."

Vâltyr looks at Dux as he talks then turns his attention to the guard "I will trust Dux in this, he may have his due from Luca's will." Then turns his attention to Dux "I dont know exactly what happened leading up to Luca's fate, but i also know he was no fool. If i were you i would be careful with blaming the gods entirely, there is always ways for us to improve ourselves and it would be a blight on Luca's memory if you were to willingly ignore his last lesson." Finally looking back at Cognut. "My words to Dux applies to you as well, the illusion of helplessness is the worst shroud we can blind ourselves with. But, despite all this i thank you for bringing me his Gladius." Vâltyr pauses for a moment before addressing both of them. "Regardless, you have shown great care in treating the body and repairing his armour, and i wholeheartedly do not believe anything malicious led to his death. But i refuse to believe he was beyond help." Vâltyr's companion will then approach Cognuts and take the blade. "Finally, on the subject of the burial, seeing as none of us know of his people bury their dead i would argue a soldiers burial in accordance with his will would be fitting, burials are for the living and no ammount of flowers, oils and candles on his chest will bring him back. Nor will spending every coin we have on the ceremony ease his journey to the afterlife."
The guard looks at the three of you. "If you, Dux, can vouch for his identity, you may take him in so that Luca's will can be enacted. However, take care that the money for the funeral will be subtracted before the share will be handed out to whoever is mentioned in there... Now, go on."
CogNutz Would follow Dux innside while pulling out his scrollcase, innside which is the schematic for a elaborate statue of Luca. He would have Dux look at it saying. " Hows this for a headstone ?"     (OOC: it would look like it was way way way to exspensive^^)
Dux looks over the drawing "that would be a fine headstone, fitting for a king. Alas, work that detailed and good would cost more than we could ever, and should ever afford. Money should go to the Church, they best know how to spend it."
To warp this up a bit: So there has been no decision whether you want to use Remembrance or not (be aware that Clarence is right now not online...) A standard burial would require a regular grave: hole in the ground on maladon, a standard coffin and a symbol of sol on a stone on top of it. That is what the company covers. If there is any extras, you will have to take care of it ;)
CogNutz Would agree that his design may be a bit over the top. and proceede to the reading of the will. (OOC:Remembrance would be nice to do)
(OOC: they didn't know him so well, a standard burial should suffice, unless the will states other wishes.) "read us the will please, we have other matters to attend before the week is up."
From outside the red dragon brigade headquarters, you faintly hear someone yelling: "Bring out your dead!.
The will would have been presented to Dux, Valtyr and CogNutz (after he entered and has been led to the corpse) as written  here .
"Well, there you have it CogNutz, take your pick, and leave the rest for Vãltyr and the Red Dragons. I must study, pray and train now." Dux leaves.

CogNutz would reluctantly approach Luca's belongings and take the wolf pelt, knowing what power it holds. " t..This was not what i came here for, but since it was his will, i'l have this for study" Spotting some tools, he'd quickly grabb the smiths tools aswell. " And the tools!"
((to wrap it up, CognutZ would'v partaken in the burial ceremony and left the Tinkers stoy made in Luca's likeness on the gravestone, to howl at the moon each midnight. And ask the man known as Valtyr about his friendship with Luca.)

Vâltyr would take Luca's rapier, and his part of Luca's earnings. The rest he would leave for the Red Dragon Brigade. He would tell Cognuts that now is a bad time, that he will be gone for some time, but should cognuts still be alive when he returns they will talk. If Cognuts went looking for Vâltyr during or after the burial ceremony he would be unable to find him.

A few days after CogNutz and Dux have sorted out the will and substracted 10gp for the burial from Luca's remaining possessions for the funeral the body is put into a casket and carried over to the docks by members of the Red Dragon Brigate, Dux being one of them.  The group is set onto Maladon and then walks a bit north along the shore and then a bit further inland until they reach the graveyard, a place that has seen far too much use in the past year. Hundreds of grave sites are placed row after row after row of sun emblems, crosses, stone monuments, wooden shrines. Most of them a simple stone plate with the sign of Sol engraved, the others referring to other deities, higher family members or created by a benefactor.   The parade stops not too far from a shrine of beautifully grown wood decorated with symbols of a spider, the casket is put down and opened one last time so that Sol might shine upon his lost follower. Luca Scipio Lupus' armour and shield, polished, reflect the sun and the family emblem on the huge shield is prominently visible. His face is covered by his helmet and the visor is only open to show his eyes, not giving away the crushed state of the remainder of his head. Prayers are sent out to Sol and then silence reign until the casket is closed and a stone plate is put into place to close the tomb, on it the sign of sol and below that of house Scipii. CogNutz puts his small mechanical doll onto the plate which each night, at around midnight, starts to howl.

((The emblem is actually of House Scipii  not house Lupus ^^))
