For all the moderators ,any question I post on these forums are Roll20 specific. I am working on customizing the D&D character sheets and was wondering if there was a way to import (or an API) for spell data or monster data like what is being done on D&D 5e sheets?  If not, that is fine I will simply cut and paste but was hoping of a more automated way...

An API script could be written to parse the output of a particular character generator, but there is no way to get the Drag & Drop functionality of D&D 5e and Pathfinder Compendiums without a D&D 2e Compendium (which Roll20 does not currently have permission to do).

Perfect.  Thanks Brian.  That is exactly what I needed to know.  Isn't D&D 2e compendium considered public works via OGL?  Or to have that compendium they would have to specifically get that permission? Also - are there any current APIs that you know that do this?
