Server Side Error when viewing forum post

Symptom: Error message appears when viewing forum post:&nbsp; <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3903170/ic-inter" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3903170/ic-inter</a>... Error Message Reads:&nbsp;NoMethodError: undefined method `gsub' for nil:NilClass Able to replicate in latest Chrome, Firefox, IE Appears to be HTTP 500 Server side ruby error.

Hi Dave. I think this happens when it is the last post on a Page, and it is about to start a new Page for the thread. If you want to find the actual post, try to find the thread that it comes from, and the post in question is probably the last post on the most recent page. I'll leave the thread open in case a Dev or anyone else has an answer.

Here is a little more detail: The thread that raises the error ( <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3903170/ic-inter" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3903170/ic-inter</a>... ) is part of this campaign ( <a href="https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/620269" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/620269</a>) The thread should have either 2 or 3 posts within it. I believe the error occurred on submitting the 3rd post. After that point, none of the campaign members are able to open the thread again. Is there a way to fix the thread? Or is there something we should avoid doing in the future to prevent this from occurring (possibly restricted or weird combination of characters)? Appreciate your help!

If it's a campaign that does not have Public Access enabled, then I can't access to look at your links. It's throwing the same error as you described, when I click it. Since you said it's a thread with only 2-3 posts, my initial answer was probably wrong, because it would not be Paginating the thread for just 3 posts. I'll leave this thread open in hopes of someone else responding. Kristin, Just to chime in, I'm the GM of the game in question that Dave is talking about.&nbsp; He opened the trouble ticket on my behalf because when I attempted to post in this forum i got the same error message "Error: NoMethodError: undefined method `gsub' for nil:NilClass" The campaign in question is <a href="https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/620269/fo" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/620269/fo</a>... With the title "Forgotten Realms" The thread is "IC - interrogating poor defenseless NPCs" As I believe I was the one that posted the reply that broke the thread, I will mention at the time I was using the Firefox Developer Edition, <a href="https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/" rel="nofollow">https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/</a> I don't know if that would matter.
