First session/next session

Don't have a whole lot of time at the moment, but wanted to say I felt like we had a good first session! We fought, we nearly died, we got a little characterization in, we rolled well, we rolled poorly, we laughed, we loved, we wallowed in goblin filth. If you have any observations, reminiscences, questions or comments, feel free to post 'em here. Also, I'm going to start discussion of next session. My original plan was every other week, but truthfully, my schedule is pretty open. If you guys want to run next week at the same time, I'm okay with that. Thoughts?

I had so much fun and now I'm still too excited to sleep! xD I can't wait to read about our first session on Actual Play! I've a question though. What if a character does something in secret without the others' knowledge, how will that turn out in the story on Actual Play? Will you write everything everyone does so everyone gets the whole story or leave secret actions out completely? I'm pretty much open for next saturday as well. Shouldn't be a problem to set aside a little time for play :)

I'm all for palying every Saturday, I just hope my Saturday off from work streak continues if not maybe we can change it back around 3-4pm CST?

Aviana, to answer your question about secret actions in the AP, I think I'll ask players who do actions in secret if they're okay with me putting the secret in a spoiler, or if they'd rather I leave it out entirely. I'd hope that the other players would enjoy having some things hidden, but even if they chose to view the spoiler, I think all of you can keep player knowledge separate from character knowledge. Ultimately, though, I'm going to leave the degree of revelation to the actor. I hope to have the AP up before Labor Day is over!

Also on the topic of the AP, it would be immensely helpful if you guys shared some things that jumped out at you during the session. Favorite parts? Funny moments? Your character's feelings on things that happened? Lessons learned? Feelings towards other PCs or NPCs? Anything you want to contribute would be great, because seeing things from multiple perspectives gives me a better idea of how to log it all together.

*deep breath* Also, the game module has the 5E SRD (System Resource Document -- basically, the info in the PHB) easily accessible and searchable. When you're in the game, in the upper-right corner (by the journal) is a white i in a black circle. That's the SRD, where you can search anything you want for quick and easy reference. I just used it to look up a couple of rules on gaining levels and other questions I needed answered. It's exceptionally handy. Okay, that's it, I promise I'm going to bed now!

FYI, I've gone ahead and scheduled our next session for next Saturday, September 10th, at noon CDT. Patrick, let me know if your work schedule interferes and we can bump it back up. Also, if anyone can't do next Saturday, let me know and we'll rework the schedule. But for now, everyone seems ready and eager for another session, and I'm happy to oblige!
