Any way to replace art library items?

I did a search on this, but I couldn't spot a similar question. Perhaps I'm being a bit of a dunce, but is there a way to replace items in my personal art library? I tend to constantly tinker with my graphics, so having to upload a separate image, find where all the outdated ones are and replace them, can be a bit of a pain, rather than just simply replacing the original file. Thanks!

I'm afraid there isn't a way of doing that through the interface.  It could mostly be done via the API.  Actually, with today's release of the setDefaultTokenForCharacter(characterObj, graphicObj)  function, I can't think of a case you Couldn't do it for.  The way I'd envision it, you'd drag both images to the VTT in a game, then  use an API command to specify which one is being replaced with the other.  It could do a search through all objects in the Game to get a list of the ones using the old image, then update them to use the new image.  You would need to have a game created by a pro subscriber that is currently active (API is a pro level perk), and have the API script to do it, but the actual script would be pretty simple.

Although, if your goal is to stop using up your storage quota space with constant updates, it won't really help there. Very cool idea though Aaron.
Thanks for the responses! Sounds a bit complicated, but doable. There's nothing stopping me using the command to swap the images with the newer one, then delete the outdated images, as far as I can see? It's a bit faffy but it definitely achieves what I'm after.
