Looking for GM LFG Listings: Just No

That's not how it works. It takes more work to be a GM/DM than a player. Therefore, there are more players than GMs. Everyone knows this, except apparently people who make these listings. Why are these listings so bad, you ask? 1.) Unless they're running an obscure system/game, even a lazy GM will hardly ever have trouble finding players on here. Many people who make these listings argue that "the GM doesn't have to look for a group", since one's all ready to go. This is complete BS. A GM will always want to vet the players that come into their game, making sure their schedules mesh, and that the players are a good fit. With a 'looking for GM' listing, you get saddled with whatever random people happened to want to play a game. Sure, the GM could come in and kick people out as they pleased, but if that were the case, why wouldn't they just make their own table anyway? 2.) A lot of these listings clog up the LFG pages. Aside from wasting the participants time, it wastes the casual browser's time. 3.) They're just plain insulting. They're essentially asking, "Hey, come GM this game for a bunch of random people based on our specifications. You may or may not get a say in who stays in the game, or even how the game is run." I mean, I'm not using hyperbole here, that really is was these listings are saying. What GM, who knows what they're doing, would sign up for that? Not suggesting anything be done about this, but it is annoying to see these listings, and I needed to rant about them.
This has also been one of my main concerns lately. There is an increase in the amount of listings and forum posts that are looking for a GM, and most of the cases these get clogged up the same way by other people who are looking for a GM making a completely random group that can break on anyone's whim. While I understand that there may be a group of 4 friends, for example, that may risk being separated if they apply to a GM instead of the GM to them, these groups need to have their own forum/listing. As such I would propose to have a way to filter out listings that are looking for a GM or give LFGM forum posts their own sub-forum. I don't want to offend anyone but LFGM listings are plain cancer in my opinion. Would be best if you made a suggestion in the suggestions thread, I would definitely vote for a way to filter LFGM games and this should be spread to more people so it gets attention. Sadly you can tell the Mods/Devs are not interested in topics like these because this post has been sunk from the main forum page even though it is just one day old.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. After messaging a few of the people who made these listings, out of curiosity for the type of response, I was starting to wonder if it was just me. This was just supposed to be a rant, not a suggestion, but perhaps you're right. I'll go ahead and repost this topic in the Suggestions forum. Btw, just to share, the responses I got from the creators of the listings were pretty similar. One of them was a GM for two other games, and really wanted to play at a table. They didn't argue what I said, they just said they wanted to play. The other two just made very brief responses that, again, didn't give any argument other than wanting to play. Like, gee, really? I'd never have guessed. That doesn't answer the question of why a GM would respond to this listing.
Make sure you post the suggestion thread here so I can go over there and give you a vote, and hopefully others that feel the same will do so too.
Done. Thanks for your input, it means a lot from a user like yourself. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/4020789/a-sepera...
