Looking to Collaborate on Steampunk/Post Apocalyptic RPG

Hi everyone. I have had an idea brewing for some time for a post apocalyptic RPG with elements of steampunk. The setting is earth 200 years from now but mankind has fallen to a level of technology similar to the mid 1800's. What little water remains is located underground. The remnants of humanity now survive in sprawling shanty towns around these various oasis (what is the plural for oasis?) controlled by powerful warlords and even a few rare free governed towns. Think something like Mad Max as far as the condition of the environment is concerned. No gas powered vehicles though. That resource is long gone. As for transportation, most animals are dead as what little water remains goes toward keeping people alive. There are still nomads who use camels and even horses belonging to only the rich and powerful but the majority of transport is done via land barges. Think something like  THIS  but much larger as the winds in this game can frequently be an intense 100km/h to 200km/h. Side note: I totally want to build one of these haha! Rarer but available are great steam powered blimps that travel the calmer evening skies. Again, some concept ideas  HERE none of which I drew. I am a terrible artist.  As for the weapons, they will be primarily melee and ranged pre industrial weaponry with the occasional musket and animal (or human) fat grease pistol. Larger barges and blimps can have an array of weapons from ballistas to good ol cannons. Not to mention dozens of musket wielding troops. A Typical adventure in the game will be a mix of Mad Max style brutality, Pirates style swashbuckling, old western style Mexican standoffs and brawls, and lots of colorful characters and places. The end goal of a game is totally up to the GM. Unify the many warring mini states? Become a powerful warlord? Free an oppressed city from the grips of terror? Become a sand pirate of legend? The possibilities are endless. By the way, all the above info is super condensed. I attempted to write out a full story and info in a post a few days ago and ended up deleting it all because it was simply TL:DR. If any of the above interests you and you want to get involved, please see below on what I am looking for. Dice and Game Mechanic Experts: People who know their way around more than a few dice systems. I want to make this a D20/D10/D6 game and make is super accessible to newcomers. Especially since this is being born right here on Roll20. For example, I love the complexity of say...the Star Wars EoTE system but also hate it as a first time GM. So many different rules and dice situations. Let's simplify. Artists: If you love to draw fantasy, post apoc, and steampunk in particular, here is your chance. Concept art and tokens are much appreciated. Map Makers: Pretty self explanatory. As we flesh out the universe of this game, we will need map makers to populate it with many locations.  Story and Character Writers: I have a pretty good idea of a backstory and will fill in way more info for that. However, I would love to get some short stories in there and some pre-built adventures. Also, building some characters and backstories would be great.  Weapons, Vehicles, and Equipment Designers: The real appeal of this game will be insane level of customization as it pertains to weapons, armor, and vehicles both air and land. I have some general ideas about ways to approach this but would love to hear your ideas.  There is much more to cover but for now, I'll leave the list at that. I am handling all these roles (except artist which as mentioned before I suck at) so I fear for the quality of all of them on my own. In my time here, I have found this community is full of amazing people so I want to open this up to everyone. I am not making a profit off of this and the final product is roll20 exclusive of course. This is really a labor of love and a chance for anyone who wants - to become part of that labor.  If you are interested in helping, let me know. I will put together a placeholder game soon so that we can use a separate forum for ideas and discussion without mucking up the main forums. Thanks guys!!
Hi! This sounds awesome. I'm a playwright and newly minted RPG nerd with too much time on my hands. I'd be very interested in helping out with character and story writing. I'd love to read more of what you've got on the world and then perhaps I could propose some ideas... or if you've got specifics you need covered I can just start plugging away. Let me know what works!
Link sent!
Have you looked at Hallowed Metropolis?  It is a steampunk zombie apocalypse rpg that has done a wonderful job world building.
Ill have a look. Thanks!
