Sci Fi related Discussions

Personally I've never been a fan of Temporal based Sci Fi, it only confuses things and is frankly Hollywierd introduced it because they are lazy
Strange, I was still writing that and it posted. Oh well to continue, look how introducing it in the game simple brought us to a stand still. Going back in time seventeen years well regardless of the length threw everything out the window. Personally I think we should reset before that result was used, ignore future references to time related results and carry forward with the senario that the referee planned for.
I personally really like the story repercussions that could be cause by this chain of events. At the very least it would bring the colonel back into the game OR we could do some shady things that would screw us op in the long term.
I Think its gunna be a bit of fun, i dont think bob will let it break the game, Lets see how it plays out. And yer it can be a hassle dealing with time, but it could be quite intense and interesting. Also if you do all get lost in time, its not a big loss as Gerald Will be left in charge of the company and i am sure that his Grand ma ma's lawyers  are good enough so that Gerald and grand ma ma will own it lock stock and 2 smoking barrels with out it costing them too much cash. Also Izek doesn't mind taking the family to earth in a 1200 colonial cruiser, sure beats the close escort he was gunna buy.

The ability to travel in time essentially makes you a god. If the Ancients or the Primordials had the ability to travel in time then we probably wouldn't be digging up the ruins of their civilisations. The problems with having the god like ability to existing more than one moment in the hands of players are pretty big. Even out of player hands, fixing plot with time travel is deusexmachiana that can do more damage to a story than good. I have absolutely no idea what happened in game by the way. Just saying that generally time travel makes a mess of things. But everything could be absolutely cool the way things are going.
Half of the party Have been lost in space for a while but they started getting back then they got lost in time. First it was suicidal navigator, And then a god got them out of his part of space only for them to miss jump back 17 or so years. ATM Charoo is sending the Colonel a message to not be at home on a certain date and to use a body double. I think it will work, The colonel wont be home that day, he will rent out the place across the street and watch it to find out why he wasn't to be home. So the first thing that happens is the Colonel goes blind as the light burns out his eyes while he was using his binoculars. .0000000001 second later he ends up as ash any ways, just in a different spot than expected. Time travel is a bitch man.
Lol.
On the whole, I agree about time travel. But... For Charoux, anyway, there’s room for a lot of fun here. For starters, Charoux “spotting conspiracies everywhere” has finally resulted in spotting a conspiracy he himself started ! “The bombing may have been a cover for the Colonel having been kidnapped...” Depending on how Bob chooses to resolve my PM, Charoux may well wind up being the victim of a conspiracy he initiated against himself ! XD
HAHAHA
