Cannot select a drawing

I have been working on setting up Dynamic Lighting on a particularly large map for a few days now. I drew a small rectangle for a doorway as a separate piece (so it could be removed once the door was opened), but I didn't align it exactly right. I am now unable to select this piece entirely. I can't click on it, I can't drag over it and select it even if I encompass the entire size of the piece. I even deleted all of the walls and other objects on the dynamic lighting layer around it to try and select it when its in an empty field, still nothing. This is a pretty annoying issue since its on the Lighting layer and will block player Line of Sight for... well, literally forever. How can I get rid of this object?

Try selecting the other lines around it, right clicking them and selecting To Back . It's possible that when you're trying to select it, they are higher in the sort order and are intercepting your clicks.  Also, try at different zoom levels.  It's counter intuitive, but at higher than 100% zoom I find that sometimes the selection can't find some small lines (probably IEEE754 rounding errors building up with all the scaling). Worst case, if you want to PM me and GM me, I'm happy to jump in and try to get it for you.
Couple ideas I hadn't tried, but unfortunately none worked. I can actually clear the entire area around the drawing and when I drag over it I simply select nothing, so it's not that other pieces are in the way. I tried zooming all the way in and out, hadn't heard that before, but also no success. If its worth anything, I accidentally held down Alt while making the door and made an ellipse. It seems that very small ellipses have some big problems being selected, as the other time I did this I also had to clear everything from around the shape to remove it (but at least I got that one removed!).
