Mostly I just made this thread to post memes. Also, is any else excited about Civilization 6? I'm actually taking off work the day it comes out (10/21), plan to be playing it most/all day, sleep, wake up, play more Civ, run our game, play MORE Civ, and then collapse from exhaustion. I am a colossal nerd, and I am okay with that.

Oh! I was playing Overwatch last night for the first time in a while, and I heard Mercy (the German medic/angel) speak, then did a double-take. Her accent sounds just like Aviana's -- I swear I thought it was Naeris talking for a second. :D

But I swear I thought you were in the game with us for a second. ;) Though I am intensely curious: what's your native tongue? I have no idea what's spoken in Greenland. Hell, from a purely statistical standpoint, I was pretty sure I'd never meet anyone from there, but life is funny like that. :)

So my accent is more Danish than Greenlandic, sadly. And yes, since there's only roughly 55.000 of us, the chance of randomly meeting a Greenlandic person on the internet is pretty slim :)

The native Greenlandic people came over from Canada and speak a language closely related to theirs. We also have different dialects pertaining to the north, east, west and south, though west and south sound roughly the same. I also saw some examples and man, do y'all like your vowels. ;)

Never really thought about the vowels. More like we love double-letters like aa, ii, ll, mm, tt, qq, ss, nn.... and long-ass one-word sentences xD
