"You are about to embark on a great adventure that pits heroes against giants bent on reshaping the world. Storm King’s Thunder is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure for four to six player characters. You can start the adventure with 1st-level characters or 5th-level characters. Either way, the characters should reach at least 11th level by the adventure’s conclusion. Because giants figure prominently in the story, at least one character should be able to speak and understand the Giant language. The adventure takes place in the Forgotten Realms, specifically in a region known as the Savage Frontier, in the northwest corner of the continent of Faerûn. Nonetheless, you can easily adapt the adventure to your home campaign by changing the names of various locations and factions." HELLO!! Me Hi! So my names Liquid Sonic (Or Saevar). I have been wanting to start a YT series or something of its like on Roll20 for a while now. I have always been a fan of the more famous D&D groups that exist online and have always wanted to try my own hand at it. I have a few players already in mind but I have been looking for others in the mean time! So i'm an honest person, brutally some might say. The games I like to run are ones of adventure, conflict and ultimately Fun. I like to be that GM who feels like he is going on adventure with the Players more than just running it for them. I like to craft a scenarios and see the dice-rolls and player decisions completely turn the game on its heads into laughter. I try to include character backstories, feelings and player wants into the game. To be more concise on what i'm asking for, ill lay down some ground rules. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/liquidysonic/featured" rel="nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/user/liquidysonic/featured</a> if you wish to Donate to me. Just PM. Honestly, just looking to cover my monthly sub. The Game Right now the Details are fuzzy. I have no exact dates nor times for when I can start this game etc but I would like to try and do it weekly or bi-weekly etc. I will be recording each session via Open Broadcast Software and not via twitch as my connection is just not able to handle such things. Rules Minimum age to play will be 18+ Please be expected to stay at least a minimum of 2 hours for a session Be comfortable with Voice chat and being live streamed. I will be using skype though I am willing to test Roll20s new Video Chat. Treat others with decency and do try not to interrupt others who try to speak. I would like people to at least of familiarised themselves with the Player Hand Book. Watching the Roll20 tutorial would be advisable. There is a max of five players per game. This list of rules is not an exhaustive list and should also take into account an understanding of common-sense and decency towards other players and the game. Roll20: I use alot of scripts. Primarily the ones that help improve game flow and ease for the games. The one you will notice alot is my script for automatically rolling damage dice and deducing the result from the target monsters HP. I will probably ask you to just write out some quick macros for those as it helps to speed up game flow considerably. I will also be using 5E-Shaped sheet by Kryx. Character Creation In Character Rules and Creation Rules 3rd-Level Start Point Buy / Standard Array may be used in character creation. Starting Items will be the standard packages given to you by your classes/backgrounds. OR you may take the average starting gold. Races can be anything apart from monster races/warforged/Aarockra. All Classes over current officially released material allowed. (Unearthed Arcana Ranger allowed.) Alignments and player attitudes; Please do not make characters whos going to conflict heavily with the group over morale decisions ( IE Lawful Good Paladin vs the Chaotic Evil Psycho Rogue). Your Character should come up with a reason to deal with the issues they have with the Party/other player characters that ultimately conclude for some reason or other, to work together. Unless you want X character to be reasonably removed from the party and thus forcing you to re-roll HD per level is average per level. Current Homebrew/Extra Rules in effect Cleaving Rule When a melee attack reduces an undamaged creature to 0 hit points, any excess damage from that attack might carry over to another creature nearby. The attacker targets another creature within reach and, if the original attack roll can hit it, applies any remaining damage to it. If that creature was undamaged and is likewise reduced to 0 hit points, repeat this process, carrying over the remaining damage until there are no valid targets, or until the damage carried over fails to reduce an undamaged creature to 0 hit points. Unearthed Arcana: Feats This can be allowed. Rule of Cool. I like to be descriptive with whats going on. Sometimes I will roll extra effects into the game depending on what rolls on the dice and whats happening. For example, if a bandit leaps off the roof and comes crushing down on you with a mace and rolls exceptionally high with expectionally high damage on his dice. I might say " The Bandit, catching you by the surprise and with the sheer force of gravity behind his swing, cracks you in the skull exceedingly hard causing you to reel back prone onto the ground." Don't confuse this with rolling 1s on stuff. You won't suddenly riddle your buddy in the back full of arrows. Mob Attack Rules/Dice rolling rules Sometimes I use mob attack rules in place of rolling over 5-6+ dice for combat to keep the fight flowing. Sometimes i'll roll real dice instead of Roll20 dice for saves simply because its faster then trying to dig through statblocks and clicking the buttons. "It has been over a month since you signed up as caravan guards for the expedition to Faerün’s far north, the frozen land known as Icewind Dale. The grueling trek up the southen slopes of the Spine ofthe World was nothing compared to the treacherous crossing over the mountain pass. When the wagon train finally began its descent into Icewind Dale, everyone in the caravan breathed a collective sigh of relief that the journey was nearly at an end. That was five days ago..." I will be using Icewind Dale as the starting location for the adventure with all characters starting at 3rd-Level for this short adventure that will accelerate you to 5th-Level pretty quickly to move into the Storm Kings Thunder Campaign. If you wish to join i'll give you an example template below. You don't have to format it as such. Name: Age: Game you're looking for: Avaliability: What character you're interested in making:
