Here's a cut'n'paste of a post I made on the Bioware forums last year regarding ME tabletop rpg:

My regular weekly gaming group has played around with the idea of a Mass Effect pnp system, and here are some of the systems we're exploring.
D6 System
Based on the old West End Games pre-prequels Star Wars game, it is a good one to use in that really, biotics=The Force. Someone's already done a lot of the groundwork here:

Savage Worlds
The Savage Worlds system by Pinnacle is a good, light generic system, in which you could easily introduce Mass Effect concepts.

Luckily, again, several people have done a good job of getting started. Use the link below and scroll down to the Mass Effect listings:

Traveller (Mongoose Publishing Edition)
The venerable Traveller system (I'm old enough to have played the first one back in the 70's ) has gotten a GREAT update by Mongoose Publishing. My gaming group has a lot of fun with Traveller, and while I'm not a big fan of their default setting, its tailor made for adapting to your own sci-fi universes. Unfortunately, I haven't found a fan-made Mass Effect conversion written yet, so you'd probably have to do a lot of the work yourself. But trust me, the system is great.

GURPS
Steve Jackson Game's (G)eneric (U)niversal (R)ole(P)laying (S)ystem is another good generic system that can be adapted to almost any background. Like Traveller, I haven't found a ready-made fan conversion, but GURPS makes it pretty easy to hash together a system without too much trouble. The "GURPS Space" and "GURPS Ultra-Tech" sourcebooks would come in handy.

This is our shortlist for systems we're deciding on to use when we start a Mass Effect PnP rpg campaign here in the near future. If I run across any more, I'll be sure to post in this thread.

We never got around to playing the rpg, but if we do, we'll still be looking at one of the systems above.
