[LFP][5e] Need a Player for Long Term Campaign

Hey guys! Our D&D 5e group of three is looking for a fourth! Some game info: Meet Thursdays each week (expect 3 sessions a month, sometimes 4 if life permits). Start time is 12:30pm CST (6:30pm UK) and will run for 4-4.5 hours generally. Voice and video are a must Setting is Sword Coast, Forgotten Realms with plans to expand out eventually. Original story arc with traditionally familiar as well as new locations. The style of game is driven by story elements, current events, and players actions. So some sessions can be combat heavy and some sessions may have zero combat. All depends on the story and choices the players make.  Roleplay is emphasized. Our current three players enjoy being in character and conversing in that manner. We would prefer that the new player also enjoy a similar roleplay experience. Having said that, none of us are being nominated for Oscars anytime soon, we just like the immersion. So don't feel like you need to be a fantastic roleplayer to fit in, just someone willing to try and get better.  Generally we try to stick to the PHB/DMG rules, however,  there is room for bending based on creativity and flavor. Also, 3rd party and UA content may be allowable upon review. This is NOT an episodic type game. Each session is not an open and closed book. Do not expect closure at the end of each weeks game. This is an ongoing campaign filled with story and character development. You can expect to meet mysterious NPCs, learn about fables and legends, figure out puzzles and traps, and of course, battle fearsome monsters and villains.  Also, not being an episodic campaign, do not expect treasure and riches to be found every session. To be clear, treasure and magic items are in the world to be found and earned, but, don't expect magic item shops and elements of that nature. My vision is that magic items are special and so finding them is a great occasion. My opinion is that too many easily found and obtained magic items water down the nature of their uniqueness and power.  The main goal here is to find someone that is loose, open-minded, and excited about their character exploring the world and developing their persona. Us four get along well and like to cut up and have fun while keeping our eyes on the task at hand. I am easily reachable for communication and often talk about ideas with my players in between sessions. I get really excited about making my players character ideas and visions come to life.  You, the 4th player will come in at 3rd level. The group is currently 2nd level but getting close to 3rd. So ideally you would hit the ground running with even experience as the party.  Send me a message here on Roll20 if this sounds like the right session for you! We can talk about character creation and the best way to integrate you in.  Thanks in advance for any inquiries! Look forward to talking to you!
I was wondering if you would take mic but no video as my current camera is broken and I do not have the money for a new one. But I am interested none the less. let me know when you see this.
Consider me intruiged
Devin r - unfortunately we need video and voice. Sorry.  Diyaru - Send me an IM when you get a chance and we can discuss.
Sounds awesome. I've got a few character ideas in mind, depends on what the current team already have! My camera recently broke but I can just buy another, no worries :)
Hey there!  Currently the group consists of a Moon Elf (High Elf) Fighter, a Human Paladin, and a Forest Gnome Ranger. What kind of character ideas do you have?  Also what is the ideal type of D&D game to you? Anything specific you are looking for?
It's a couple of adaptable backstories but I would currently enjoy playing either a halfling bard or half-elf rogue, depends what would be more prefered. Right now, I'm just looking to improve my roleplaying and so for this I guess I'm looking for a fairly relaxed group that are interested in making a long fun campaign. Been watching Critical Role for a long period of time now and that is something I very much enjoy.
