Looking for Vampire: the Masquerade or Vampire: the Requiem group.

Hey there! Thanks for checking out my LFG. I am a dedicated and skilled roleplayer with about a years worth of weekly playing in various systems. I am looking for a group of around 3-6 people that are dedicated and skilled as well! I really want an ongoing long term spot so if that's your game let me know. As a player I am very laid back and calm. I never raise my voice or try to argue with people especially the GM. I am also very willing to help people learn or to explain various things. I have access to the Vampire: the Masquerade Revised edition and plenty of supplements I've never used either though. I also have Vampire the Requiem and some supplements. I love playing Vampire: the Requiem and especially love the Ordo Dracul! But I'm more than willing to try out Masquerade. Thanks again for checking out my LFG and if your interested in letting me join please send me a message!
Hey Shawn, Three questions: 1)  How well do you handle politics? 2) Camerilla, Sabbat, or Anarch? 3) Given the very nature of the game, dont you feel anything beyond 3 players may be a little much?
1. My characters have never been involved much in politics. That being said I do find it to be a fascinating topic and would be interested in trying my hand at politicking. I imagine I would act mostly through my ghouls and finding dirt or blackmail material to force what I can't persuade kindred into giving me. 2. I find the Camarilla and Sabbat to both be interesting in their own ways. I think my character would likely be Camarilla, seeing value in the Masquerade. Although playing Sabbat would be very interesting for sure! 3. I do actually, but I find that smaller groups are somewhat uncommon. I generally prefer small, intimate conversations instead of large groups where you can't get a word in.
The reason I ask is because Camerilla games are often HEAVILY involved in politics. It's not much of a 'party' style game, so while the Coterie may work together, in then end they are out for #1 (Unless their nature dictates otherwise).  The smaller the group, the more playtime each player gets to help push their own agendas, assist in their coteries agendas, and develop intrigue.  Not to say Sabbat or Anarch doesn't do politics, so much as they are not as reliant on it.  Smaller groups with focused stories tend to work better in Vampire than they do in Pathfinder.   It also depends if you are building a sandbox game, or if you are doing an On-The-Rails game.  On-The-Rails works well enough for newcomers, but sandbox can be alot more rewarding if played well, though it's difficultly increases tremendously, as the story is often pushed by the consequences of the Coterie's actions. Since I work a shift-job, consistent scheduling can be difficult, but if you're willing to dip your toes into the waters within World of Darkness with V:TM, I'll gladly give it a go.  I currently play V20, but I access to the books for revised. Any idea what kind of story you are going to try for, or what kind of characters you typically want to play? (I often find myself playing Malkavians, Ventrue, Nosferatu and Tzimisce, but I have recently been experimenting with Toreador). Any questions?

I personally find the occult and mystical aspects of the lore to be interesting. So I would likely pursue occult knowledge, acquiring tomes, hunting relics, that sort of thing. As for what clans I like... In V:TM I enjoy Malkavians, Nosferatu, Brujah, and Tremere. In terms of the kind of character I want to play, I want to play someone who is shadowy and secretive. Someone who acts more often through their ghouls than through direct action, if only to avoid connection to the actions. I want to be the boogeyman, you rarely see him but when you do, you better run. Edit: Ah I also wonder what days you play and whether you use skype or something else?
Sent a PM to show you how I do games, usually over Youtube/Hangouts, along with avaliblility.  Any questions?
Awesome, so you record the games then? Other than that last question I'm pretty much ready to be invited I think! If your interested of course.
I can do a one shot if interested. Can't make a prolonged campaign. That still interest you?
Yeah sure! I'd be interested so long as it fit's my schedule.
I got all day free tomorrow (Sunday) If you are interested.  I primarily play V20 if that's ok with you.  What kind of character/game do you want to do?  What are your expectations?
Well, I wouldn't mind a Sabbat focused campaign, or a Camarilla campaign with a slightly older Vamp character, or maybe a combat recon? Really I don't mind as long as it's fun! Only problem playing tomorrow is I haven't had a chance to read through the book. So as long as your willing to explain things as we go I'm good for tomorrow. As for playing V20 I have the V:TM Revised edition I think it's called, so again just explain any differences for me and I'm good!
