Choppy DM Audio Output Upon Player Entry Into Game

I have been experiencing this not only as the DM but also as a player in other games. If I am alone, everything is fine, and clear. I have attempted troubleshooting Steps 1-3, updating hardware drivers, and even checked my audio latency as it pertains to being real-time audio capable. Here are my system specs: -Chrome -Version 54.0.2840.71 m -Version 54.0.2840.87 m -Windows 7 -Javascript enabled -AVG Antivirus Free Edition 2015 -Plug-ins: Adobe Flash Player I've never saves a console log before, so I'm afraid I've made it...messy. If you tell me how to accurately acquire it, i'll be happy to post a revised version of it. I'm confident I can reproduce the issue. LOG: Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval' https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.doubleclick.net https://*.googlesyndication.com https://www.googletagservices.com https://*.googlesyndication.com https://www.google-analytics.com https://*.googlesyndication.com http://ajax.googleapis.com https://*.googlesyndication.com https://cdn.firebase.com https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.tokbox.com https://*.googlesyndication.com http://static.opentok.com https://*.googlesyndication.com http://cdn.crowdin.com https://*.googlesyndication.com http://stun.l.google.com". Does this only happen when a player enters the room? Does it persist for the entire time you're playing with people? Which chat are you using, the roll20 beta, or the Opentok? Does the lag persist across both chat systems?

And adding to Franky H's excellent questions, would you please work through the Roll20 guide to Audio Visual Troubleshooting? Step 1: Make sure you’re using the most recent version of either Chrome or Firefox Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Give Roll20 permission to use your microphone and camera Step 3: Make sure Video and Voice are turned on inside Roll20 Step 4: Clear your Web Browser’s Cache Step 5: Make sure you have the right ports open Step 6: Check if your camera is working with WebRTC Step 7: Check that your camera is functioning Step 8: Do a bandwidth test A lot of these may seem superfluous, but the gremlins hide in the weirdest of places :)
FrankyH: Question 1: Yes. Question 2: Yes, and apparently gets worse for reasons unknown. Time is an obvious option, but isn't necessarily directly correlated/ Question 3: I'm using whatever chat comes default with a relatively new, free account. I have altered no settings whatsoever. Question 4: The choppiness, is heard by my players, and if I open my mic settings to listen to my own mic, it shows up there as well. Their mics are all clean. GenKitty: I have moved through the troubleshooting guide. I have also worked through multiple, updated browsers. I have also worked through Steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 (download 320mbps, upload 22mbps). I've attempted to move to the last step with my above post. Disabling plugins, etc, and including the console log. Any other thoughts? I appreciate the suggestions so far, still no cigar though haha.

Depending on how recently your recently started game is, you may be using the in house roll20 webrtc voice and video system. Out of curiosity, where in the world are you? There seems to be some sort of quality issue that is location dependent.
Scott C: Initiated the game on the 20th of October, but I've also experienced the issue in one other game I wasn't the DM in on the 24th of September. Im in Lexington, KY.
So, is there anything else I can do? I've done the normal stuff and escalated to submitting the console log. What's the status quo, since I've not done this before? Just wait on a member of support?
Are you using video and audio? Try just audio. You could also try using the Roll20 beta A/V setting. Another thing would be to meet a friend in appear.in to see if it just in Roll20 or not.

I pinged the Dev Team and someone will be by. Doug E's post is also worth considering.

I would follow through with Doug E.'s suggestion. If you go to the My Settings tab within a game there's a Chat Tech section. Check to see if you're having the same difficulties with OpenTok WebRTC and Roll20 WebRTC. When you choose a new chat tech option, you and everyone currently in the game will have their tab refresh to re-establish the new conference tool. Roll20 WebRTC is a newer feature than OpenTok and we're still trying to shake the kinks out to make it just as reliable as OpenTok. https://appear.in/ is a good place to check to see if WebRTC will work with you and your group. They have the most robust WebRTC platform around and if your group still has similar problems using appear.in, then it's unlikely that any WebRTC conference tool is going to work for your needs and you may want to look into using a desktop application like Discord or Skype.
