GM Rolls only for GM

Hi, I would like to know if there's a way that a player does a GM Roll but only the GM can see the result (like a dice tower. FantasyGround can do that). I never saw that if a player use the command /gmroll, he can also see the roll. I want to create a game where the players won't see the results of their dice so they can't be influenced by the results (and I don't want to do all the rolls for them ;) ). Thanks.

Hi PadRPG, This is not possible with the standard roll commands. if you are willing to use API scripts, I had someone use my script  GroupCheck to do just that (although that's not the intended use of the script, it can certainly be used like that).

As a pro user you can utilise  SkyCaptain's Power Cards script which has a reserved tag for designating whisper targets: --whisper|gm Would send the power card output to ONLY the GM --whisper|self,gm Would replicated the observed /gmroll behaviour.

Uh, Power cards is much nicer for this use case and does not need a token. Use that instead of GroupCheck, please.

Thanks for your answers. I will try that.

Feeling nostalgic. Good one, al.

I do something similar to what you want with ~some~ macros. Like for my 5th edition game perception rolls are always rolled privately by the GM as a macro as I describe the room to prevent the: "I look around" ~rolls a 1~ and another player then steps up to say "I look harder!" problem. Not sure if holding back attacks and such is worth doing though. At a certain level you have to be able to let the players see what their agency is buying, otherwise they might as well not have a character sheet. A lot of game systems are built on adding scores to low rolls.

A lot of great things to use with direct rolls but I forgot to mention that I wish to use it with rolltemplate in existing sheets. Like the Pathfinder sheet that is using an option GM Whisper that is added "/w gm " before the rolltemplate but it works like I want only if I launch myself the roll. Recently, the author add some ability command buttons so I can use them to launch myself the rolls.
