"Once upon a time..." It's been one year since the crew of "Dragonqueen" last stood upon it's deck. A reunion is at hand and faces both old and new answer the call. A word to their trusty Fixer and in no time new job opportunities all but fall in their lap, this time however the situation is most unorthodox. According to their Fixer, simply putting the word out there that the "Dragonqueen" is back in business had a Johnson all but demanding their services, a returning customer. "A lonely moon" Among the returning crew members was the samurai, Gouma. Curiously enough he declined to join the crew on this job saying the leaves in his tea had predicted a bad omen. When the rest of the crew left to meet with their employer he stayed behind to hold down the fort. He certainly did not seem so caught up in superstition a year ago but much can happen in this line of work to change one's outlook. "And a razor's edge" The old night club, now out of business and undergoing renovation. This is where Shanghai's old crew had met the Johnson a year ago and where they met him now. Mysterious as ever, every inch of his figure covered from prying eyes, his voice bearing a metallic, pitch shifted drawl. All too familiar sight, all too familiar task, once more he asked for a trojan horse operation but this time the outcome would prove a lot bloodier. Their mission would be to eliminate a rival group of shadowrunners delivering a production template for a piece of cyberware that is scheduled to enter production, the crew would take their place and instead deliver a trojan package. After negotiating a satisfying price for the ordeal, the crew accepted the job and were on their way to plan their approach but not before calling a meeting with another accomplice of Johnson's. Their disappearance had forced Johnson to look for other potential employees and one such candidate had already been entrusted with both the task and the trojan package.

"Modern Day Warrior, Mean, Mean Stride" The crew met up with Johnson's secondary associate, a runner who introduced himself as Mal. They had a friendly chat at the pub where Mal explained he had been keeping tabs on the runner team they were tasked to take out. Mal proposed to intercept them early in the morning of the next day as they gathered to comence the delivery, the crew however insisted to look for a less messy solution. Eventually they settled on the course of action, the crew would go to the hideout to assess the situation and would then contact Mal to put the rest of the plan into motion since he was the one who had the trojan package in his posession. "Riding out the day's events" The crew arrived at the rival group's hideout at around midnight .   After some reconnaissance it became apparent that stealing or swapping the package would be an unlikely scenario. It resided in a briefcase which in turn was handcuffed to one of the runners. The crew realized that if they were gonna do this, it'll have to get messy. After leaving Mal a voicemail, the crew went to work. "Mean, mean pride" However, an unexpected complication took place. The Crew was informed that a loose thread still remained and had not been at the hideout that night. Graciously, Mal took it upon himself to inform his co-workers that he'll be taking care of it himself.
"Me? I do this 'cause i'm good at it, and because it's fun, omae" Not entirely trusting Mal, The Crew set out in the early hours in the morning to keep an eye on the hideout of the now deceased rival runners, where he instructed to meet up before they go make the drop. It turned out that Mal had caught the last missing target and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. He was gonna come with The Crew to make the delivery and vouch for them to make it more legitimate. "It's not that I don't trust you..." The Crew completed the drop without a hitch. Now all that was left was to collect their payment...and decide what to do about the loose thread that they by now hat gotten to know as "Snake". Mal insisted they hand him over so that he can take care of it. Shanghai refused and most of The Crew seemed to be with him. They headed back to Johnson to get their payment, soon Snake was set free with his head intact and contact information exchanged. "Always one more thing" Having received payment for their day's hard work The Crew was about to leave when Mal called them up for a word or two. He commended them for their performance and said there is a favor he wants to ask. He explained he has been on the hunt for a man strikingly fitting Gouma's description. He claimed Gouma had double crossed a runner group they used to be a part of in the middle of a run, killing several of them himself and that he would be extremely grateful to anyone who could lead him to his quarry. Shanghai denied having any knowledge on Gouma's whereabouts, which Mal ultimately seemed to believe. He parted ways with the crew asking them to keep an eye out and let him know if they come across anything.
"Once you receive their, call I'll know it" Though the crew had once again walked away with a successful mission on behalf of the Johnson it would be not long ill they'd be called back to duty. The following day in fact. During the previous mission and the one before they had received a mysterious call on the burner commlink given to them by the Johnson with which they would report back to him. This call however did no seem to come from the Johnson, the signal was inconsistent, unintelligible and difficult to trace. The Johnson was convinced somebody was intruding his communications and it needed to be dealt with. The party would receive the call and keep the caller talking while its origin would be traced on Johnson's end. Plan worked as intended, the caller reached them, this time with little interference, he was intent on the crew to stop whatever it is the Johnson is asking them to do. Before they could get a clearer idea he realized the setup and hung up. Their task, according to the Johnson, was now to follow to the origin coordinates of the call and assassinate the caller. He also demanded a video footage proof of the assassination as well as the purpose and affiliation of their quarry so that the crew can be compensated accordingly. "I see you" T he crew followed the coordinates to an abandoned energy drink factory in the outskirts of the city. It was clear someone had settled here, after scanning the interior of the factory it was clear that certain security equipment seemed a little too well maintained for an abandoned dump. They manage to disable part of the security before triggering security roto-drones equipped with tear gas. After a brief struggle they managed to get open a large steel door with stairs leading down and get through it before the room could get filled with gas. Scouting ahead with the mosquito drones the crew could discreetly watch for any surprises waiting for them past the stairwell. " ...Deal with it, permanently." The crew easily avoided the last ditch effort of their ambusher and took control of the situation. Their target seemed to be a lone male elf in a makeshift workshop with some high tech equipment. Before deciding how to proceed with their mission the crew figured they would hear him out and indeed he had a tale to tell.
" L'Uomo Vitruviano" He explained that he was one of the lead researchers on a black project conducted by Saeder Krupp. The goal was to explore ways of breaking the barriers of cybernetics and metahuman integration, to create a fully cybernetic body unfettered by biological limits integrated with a metahuman operator. Metahuman intelligence and ability to improvise and adapt with none of the drawbacks of excessive cybernetic integration. The initial concept was for this cyberform to be remotely controlled by an operator, controlling it like he would his own body. Through its various iterations, this project and its product was named "The Vitruvian Man" or internally, as V.M. "Geist und Gestalt" The development of this cyberform would start running into a dead end, after lengthy experimentation the results yielded an insufficient level of parity between the operator and the prototype. The more advanced the cyberform got the more difficult it became for the metahuman operators to synchronize with it. Eventually the Saeder Krupp administration decided that instead of metahuman operators, an advanced AI would be developed for the same purpose. The AI was designed to continuously learn and improve the workings of the cyberform through genetic algorithms. A second research team was brought together to develop the AI. It would be assigned to consolidate control over countless cyberform units simultaneously, the intention was that one AI would be easier to manage than numerous individual AIs with their individual units. the project and the AI were codenamed "The Andalusian Dog" or A.D. "Un Chien Andalou" The AI project was a success. After months of development, A.D. had learned to operate the prototype cyberforms nearly to a level deemed acceptable for deployment. AD and the the most advanced variant of VM were brought together to a facility for testing soon after. Teams estimated that in no time the two would achieve complete parity and mark the beginning of a massive paradigm shift in favour of Saeder Krupp. As VM would enter mass production. Of course this would all be true had a tragedy not struck soon after. Teams arrived at the facility only to find AD and VM missing from the premises with evidence of their mostly uncontested escape. AD had gained sentience and seemingly the aptitude to assume control of technology beyond just the cyberforms it was designed to use. The facility systems and automatons showed traces of AD in their diagnostics. Only things seemingly not under the influence of AD was the night shift security that had proven to not be much of a factor when the entire facility turned against them.
