Hey, I'm interested! I'm Ray, 19 year old college sophomore from the US. I'm about the same level as you guys, I started playing 5e with some friends at the start of the semester. Casual is totally the way we run, too, so no complaint from me there! D&D is fun, yeah, but that's about the people as much as it is about the world, in my opinion. Since I'm pretty new to all this as well, I only have one character. Her name's Artin, she's a dwarven fighter. Mostly lawful good- but the law codes she follows is internal, rather than the law of the land. Backstory-wise, she was banished from her clan years ago. She had been a soldier in the kingdom's guard, and her patrol caught an elven spy just at the base of the mountains. Her commanding officer was torturing the elf for information, and regardless of what protocol was, Artin couldn't stand by and watch it. She released the elf on the promise he would stay quiet about the information he had overheard. But the elf ended up betraying her to his people, and they attacked the dwarven kingdom, devastating a major city. The only reason she wasn't executed outright for her treason was because her brother sat on the council that made the decision to banish her. As a result, Artin has a deep distrust for elves, even deeper than the normal elf/dwarf feud. She's basically been a drifter ever since, as to be clanless is one of the biggest shames for a dwarf and she's cut ties with everyone from her home, which is why she's adventuring. It takes her a while to trust, but she's firmly loyal once she befriends someone. I'm totally up for making a new character if you guys were hoping for something different, but that's what I've got coming to the table. Let me know if you're still looking for people!
