zoom and the drawing tools

Okay, I'm confused. Here's what I did: I made a map that's 50x30 grid squares. Otherwise took the factory defaults. Zoomed out to 30%. Drew some things freehand in the lower right hand part of the map...from the corner extending maybe eight squares up and in toward the center. Zoomed in to 60%. What I drew had vanished! I zoomed back out...there it was back again. Drew a large triangle over most of the map. Zoom in to 60%, and only the top 2/3 of the triangle was there. I tried panning, scrolling, etc. Can't seem to get down into the bottom of the map. What am I doing wrong? This is on chrome. addendum: on further checking, I only see what I drew when I'm at 30%. ANY other zoom level, bigger or smaller, cuts off what it shows me above the level of what I drew.

You might want to make this a bug report. I've noticed something similar also but it does it randomly to me.
