What is the max file size allowed for a map?

January 23 (12 years ago)
I'm attempting to upload a map that is right under 10 mb. Is this too large for the system?
Sorry if this has been asked before, simply trying to finish this project up before hitting the sack.

Found the answer, 5 mb, ugh. Time to bust out the slicer =/.

Chargeit, check your image's resolution. Resolution doesn't have any impact on how the image displays on a monitor. The only thing it pays any attention to is the image's dimensions. You're probably dealing with an image with a high resolution to bump it up that large.

I was able to avoid having to slice the map by saving it at a slightly lower quality. Luckily you can't tell.
It is a nice sized map 3002 x 3004 150 DPI.
I've been making VTT maps commercially in my spare time, and hadn't made one of such size for VTT (Have made some big printable ones).
Slightly Dropping the quality was the way to go. Was able to keep my resolution, and you can't tell the visual difference between the 10 meg file, and the 4.5 meg file.
I'd give anyone 100 bucks that could distinguish between the two.

Thanks for your help!
